  17. CHUCK STARK says:

IN THE SUMMER ISSUE 2008 YOU HAD A STORY ABOUT THE START OF E-8 AND E-9'S. I WAS WORKING THE ADMISSION UNIT AT USNH BREMERTON AT THAT TIME SETTING PEOPLE UP FOR THEIR PHYSICALS. THE OFFICE HAD A DUTCH DOOR AND ONE MORNING I HAD THE BOTTOM CLOSED WHEN I HEARD SOMEONE COUGH AND I TURNED TO SEE A MAN WITH A STAR ON HIS COLLAR. NOW HAVING NEVER SEEN A SENIOR OR MASTER CHIEF I DID HEAR THAT THEY HAD ONE OR TWO STARS. SO I SAID, “BE RIGHT WITH YOU SENIOR CHIEF”. FINISHED MY TYPING AND TURNED TO SEE A BGEN IN THE USMC. YIPES, ME A HN. HE SAID THAT IT WAS AN HONOR TO BE CALLED A CHIEF.

  18. edwardfdean says:

I have not recieved the shift colors since summer 2008. Is it still published? how do I continue to recieve it.Don't tell me to call 1-800 321 1080. I called that number and spent five minutes on the phone listening to a machine tell me to select numbers.Ten I finally talked to some one and they said they didn't have a clue.Goverment brushoff? If the news letter is still being sent to retires I would like to get it . Thank You Edward Dean

  19. Dorothea Anderson says:

I was told that Shift colors was only on line but you have a note telling us to write if a spouse
wants to receive the Shift colors.

  20. David L. Baxter says:

As a military retiree I did not get a COLA this year however, as usual, the retiree Delta Dental went up (like it does every year). Consequently, my military retired pay went DOWN by $20.00. How long is this going to happen before your “retired section” addresses this issfue. It is evident that VA compensation and active duty pay is going to keep going up and Social Security and retired military recipients are being put out to pasture.

  21. theodorelynn says:

please bring back shift colors mail to us willing to pay for it!!!!!!!!!!!!

  27. WmRisOK says:

I, too, was searching for inclusion into the Shift Colors magazine, which I stopped receiving in the mid-2000s after retiring in 1986. So thank you for this unexpected service. I tried to access both the Shift Colors and the Retired Afgfairs Office links from the Navy Meidicine and Navy Knowledge Online sites, but I kept receiving a Dile Not Found error, so I will access through MyPaym as you recommended.

I also was an HM for 20 years, serving 14 of them with various USMC units, including the 3MD in RVN in 1968. My NECs included Lab Asst Tech and Preventive Medicine Tech.

    Again, I appreciate your service.
