A bad case of W/B….

January 31, 2009 by Da-Chief

You might have noticed of late there have not been many updates on the front end of Corpsman.com.

You see I have become afflicted with a very very serious illness that only affects folks who run Blogs or news sites.

It cannot be treated with conventional means unfortunately, you have to create your own tx to get the affected person healthy again.

No Meds, No Rest.. nothing can fix it..

What is it?

I have a “BAD CASE OF WRITERS BLOCK!”

Soooo.. I am trying to get out of the rut right here right now. You can help me as I administer self treatment.

This article will be updated throughout the weekend. If I get a thought, I will write it.

There will be a date and time stamp when a update comes in. Follow my meandering thoughts as I go through this mental exercise. No Sweat on your account, only on mine.

Leave comments below as we do this.. Give encouragement, slam me I don’t care.. I just need thoughts, ideas whatever.. Help us get this puppy started..

My Brain needs Starting.

My Brain needs Starting.

(Picture someone pulling on the rope of a old Lawn Mower to get it started.)

A friend of mine came up with this exercise, lets see if we can get this Engine that could started.. Someone got any gas??…..

Well started daily chores with the kids. One thing about winters like we have had this year, you have to keep up on cleaning as everyone has been cooped up in the house since right after Thanksgiving.

Took a break to play abit of:

Brain Starter?

Brain Starter?

I am not a big console guy, but I have to admit “Gears of War” is pretty good. I know it’s a older game, but anything to get my mind on something else!!

Btw my gamertag on the 360 is “HMC RET 2007″ add me if your on the 360.

Well wash is done time to move it to the dryer and start another load. Spence has taken over the machine:

Spencer Battling as Sonic

Spencer Battling as Sonic

Time to move to the Laptop!

Things I need to write about and want to write about in no order of importance:

Netcast,
Understanding the sound mixer and how to make the netcast sound better,
Revamp of the front page,
new ads to be added to all my pages for revenue, should I? or Shouldn’t I?
harass folks to really study now as it is coming up on Feb, March for rating exams, but then again, why do I need to harass? They should be doing it themseleves? Still a article is needed..

Hmmm...

Hmmm...

Things that make you go “hmmmmm”….

Wow! Darrell Crone is without words. Never thought that was possible, lol. Well I'm not in the military loop anymore, nor do I write for a living. Getting out of the house and take the kids sledding, have a snowball fight, make snow angels, go window shopping, etc. Don't just stare at the screen. Go do something. That's all I got.

Hi there Writer Blocked. Rehash all your info again! I just (a few hours ago) returned from GL and my son's PIR. He'll start Corpsment training on 2/17 unless they change it -- who knows. Not to sound pleading, but I'm desperate for information. The Navy is a whole new world to him and to us. He wants to do well and succeed. He's hearing subs might be the best option. He's heard not so good things about Pendleton which is where we (Mom and Dad) hoped he be based. Something about intense rivalry between officers and enlisted in San Diego. He's enlisted. Your experiences and those you've heard from others would mean the difference of being illiterate and literate to me. Recycle and refresh -- please. Feb 1, 2009 -- 96+ days until A school graduation.

Darrell I think you need to get out of the house. Go to Corps School and just walk around. Something will come up. Maybe look at some of the stuff the is affecting Corpsman like I/A billets. Hang in there man.

  • BECUASE it is not true.. Jeez.. you guys go troll somewhere else.. Please get your "FACTS STRAIGHT!".. He's still our Commander in Chief!

It is true chief...check out this site
    http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE....
Although he "couldn't attend the ball do to "logistics" and the vice president did attend the ball" it still is no excuse. He attended all of the "money" opportunistic balls with celebrities and big money people, but I guess our nations heroes go on the back burner. It is in fact offensive even though the American Legion who helped sponsored it says it's "OKAY" the organizations and politics right their. Their are my straightened facts... and just cause he is the commander in chief he is still "for the pople and has a duty to be thier for them" This isn't a dictatorship where whatever he says and does is right and goes without question
  • docdeath
I got one...how about why President Obama did not attend the Heroes Ball honoring the MOH winners. I thinkg he is the first POTUS who has missed it in 50 some years. I dont know why he missed it but you can find it all over the net. Any thoughts?

The harder you try to make the WB go away the longer and more frustrating it will become. It's kind of like looking for that special someone when you were / are dating. You'll never find them until you stop looking and then low and behold there they are right in front of you. So let it go, enjoy the time with your kid(s) and something else fun to do. Before you know it you'll be sitting back at the computer banging away on the keyboard wondering what all of the fuss was about.
  • I never thought I would see the day that DA_Chief was speechless...silence is golden...listen....alright who farted?????

Just would like to tell everyone that was At Camp Lejeune from 1957 to 1987 to check out the USMC web site to sign up for the Water Study.due to Contamination.

So, here you are asking for help... Have you read my blog??? I can't even remember when the last time I actually wrote something on there. Talk about a severe case of Writer's Block.

I find that I just don't think I have anything exciting or enlightning to share so why bother to write about the day to day of my life. I don't live on a reality tv show I just live in reality.

Would send you some gas but I don't think you would appreciate the gas that would come from our house to yours HA HA
  • I suffered from the same damn thing! That's why it took me over 25 years to finish my book (among other mental stumbling blocks). My sympathy, Chief!

Cheif i'm in cuba and saw this and as i sat here wondering what to say i noticed i got nothing either. However call of duty is coming out with a new game so that should be good. I am looking into putting my package in to be a p.m.t. HM after my time is up at my PCS. Maybe someone out there can hook me up with good sites to go to. well got to go hope that helps.

TOMORROW IS SUCH A HUGE DAY..SUPERBOWL SUNDAY AND GROUNDHOG EVE...I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU FELT THAT YOU HAD NOTHING TO WRITE ABOUT.
  • Well As you can see with the updates, I am trying to get and do anything to get out of this funk. Played a bit of Gears then Spencer took it over and is now playing "LEGO STAR WARS"... I guess he was feeling the Force..

    :-)

It's nuts.. I know I have several topics to write and want to write but I just can't get them to come out of the spigot.. Oh well....
  • I live the disease that you have, I wish I knew a good answer because I can't figure it out either brother. My footing also seems to be lost. Hopefully it comes back, but for right now, I'm putting my writing on the back burner till my muse moves back in. Hah, tagged with 360, I would put audible.com on my tag.
