News of this week that make my already hurting head..

HURT MORE!

Post 9/11 GI Bill update.  We don’t get money but we do get a phone call!  This is beginning to get embarassing.  Really, I mean really??
The colleges do all the work.  They send in our school info, and we were already processed to be accepted into the program.  How hard is it to get us and the schools paid?
Has anyone seen any missing monkeys at the Zoo?  If so I know where they can be located, the VA proccessing Centers for the new Post 9/11 GI BILL.

Read about this new phone call initiative here: http://www.armytimes.com/news/2009/10/military_gi_bill_phone_call_102009w/

H1N1 updates or lack there of.  If there is one thing the military is bad about it is getting “ACCURATE” information out to its people.  You already read my rant on the Naval Health Clinic Great Lakes here:  How not to build a website!! NHCLGL In the Cross-hairs!

I have done some followup research on info for the H1N1 virus from the CDC and also attached  Military report on how the H1N1 Vaccine will be doled out. (Yup thats right we dont’ even have it yet!)  you can read that article here: H1N1 is on the move..News from CDC

And last but not least, NPC is starting to notify commands of those CPO’s who will be forced to retire.  I am of 2 minds about this.  I really know that 97% of the CPO community is GUNG HO and would walk over hot coals and eat nails to take care of their sailors and commands.  It really hurts me to know that some of them will be forced to go.

But the other 3%?? If I could use a Catapault to help them on thier journey,  I would do so.  (Picture the cows being thrown in Montey Python!)

You should be able to check on your status on BOL. You can read the info about this process here:  CPO Continuation Board

Normally we would go over all of this Information on our AOTC show.   We will discuss all of this and more next Tuesday Night @ 2115 on ATOC #84.

If you have any questions or coments please email them to us @ admin1@corpsman.com or you can call our new Phone number and leave us a message that will be played on our show @ (224) 789-8DOC (8362).  Understand your message or Comment will be played on air and we will respond to your questions.

We hope to hear from you!!
