Normally I don’t go around telling anyone to try things, but this is different.

Firefox 3.5 was released today and is much “Safer, Faster, and easier to use” then IE or the other web programs out there.

One of the newest things they have incorporated, you no longer have to get a plug-in to play video, the browser handles the overhead and the calls for video.

It is not easy for me to get excited about a Internet browser, but Apple released Safari 4 for Windows and for the Mac yesterday (Beta).

I am had a “GEEK-GASM” after in installed this piece of software. The way they let you browse and look at web pages, new and so easy to use, and best of all.. FAST.

Thanks to Top Sites, you can enjoy a stunning, at-a-glance preview of your favorite websites without lifting a finger. Safari 4 Beta tracks the sites you browse and ranks your favorites, presenting up to 24 thumbnails on a single page. You can even customize the display by pinning a favorite site to a specific location in the grid. That locks it into position, so you know just where to find it every time you open Top Sites.

Wonder which sites have changed since your last visit? Sites with a star in the upper-right corner have new content. A single click opens the page and updates its thumbnail. Whenever you want to return to your ever-evolving Top Sites page, just click the new Top Sites button in the bookmarks bar.

Cover Flow

New to Safari, Cover Flow offers a highly visual way of reviewing your site history and bookmarked sites, presenting full-page previews of the websites that look exactly as they did when you last visited them.

One look is all you need to recognize the site you want to visit. Simply flip through website previews in Cover Flow the same way you flip through album art in iTunes. Directional arrows let you browse forward and back. Or you can quickly flip through multiple sites using the slider. And when you find the site you want, simply click to open it.

Full History Search

With Full History Search and Cover Flow, what you see is where you went. Safari introduces a dramatic new way to revisit sites, letting you flip through full-page previews of the sites you visited in the past. You may not have total recall, but Safari does, automatically storing all the text and a thumbnail of every page in your history. That makes it easy for Safari to get results even if you remember little about the site you’re searching for.

Just type a word or phrase in the History Search field in Top Sites, and Safari quickly presents you with a list of possibilities. In fact, you can search for anything that was on a page you visited, even photo captions. Microsoft today announced at the Tokyo Game Show 2008 that the New Xbox Experience, an Xbox 360 firmware update, will launch on Wednesday, November 19, 2008. On that day, millions of Xbox 360 owners worldwide will be able to sign in to Xbox Live and download the free upgrade.

With the launch of the New Xbox Experience, Xbox 360 owners will enjoy the following:

Xbox LIVE Party: Create a virtual party on your TV with up to seven friends. With LIVE Party, voice chat while you play games and share photos in real-time.

Avatars: Your customisable avatar is your game-face throughout the New Xbox Experience and represents you online. Think of this like a “Mii”– only better.

Community Games: For the first time in the history of console gaming, thousands of games developed by the creative community will be available to the public. The Community Games channel on Xbox LIVE will include games made by students, hobbyists, and everyday people all around the world and will be exclusive to Xbox LIVE.

“WARDRIVING”

For those of you who don’t understand the term, picture folks cruising your neighberhoods looking for open wireless network connections so they can leech off of your connection.

This can slow down your system, but worse if they get in, and you do banking on your system either on your home computer or even online, they can get your data and access your accounts.

This is SCARY Stuff.  All they have to do is install to your HD a “KEYLOGGER” which records all your keystrokes on your system and then reports the info to them.

If your into WOW (World of Warcraft) you will be into this show.  Alex has a way of putting out info that we the “GEEKS & GAMERS” want to read and here.  (That and he has a kick ass sense of humor)  This is not crap from COMCASTIC (COMCRAP) or other gaming publishing houses.  If something sucks, they will say it sucks, if something is Kick ass, well then they will tell you it is so..

We here at Corpsman.com are always creating content for you the users, and this weekend is no different.

So you all have been following my ongoing saga the “Blackberry Bold Vs. Apple I-Phone 2.0″.  It looks like we have a winner there. (Blackberry, but the bell has not rung yet.)
Now I am off doing research on a new laptop Computer for later this year.  I am thinking about getting a Apple Macbook Pro (mac.com)  and moving over to the “Grey Poupon” crowd, or maybe going to the Mod side and getting a “ALIENWARE” Lattop (alienware.com).

Both are comparable in price for the equal types of chipsets.  The one thing Alienware has though in its corner though is that you can also get the fastest stuff out there, but pay a price being the first with the fastest chip.
MAC Book Pro runs “OSX” which can be partitioned to run both “OSX” as well as “Microsoft Vista” Dual Boot.

The Alienware computer will only be able to run “Microsoft Vista”

So the Apple costs a bit less, which is great right out of the store.  What Apple nails you on though is it is damn near impossible to do any upgrades on the system.

Steve Jobs, and rightly so, believes Apple should be the only ones working on their machines so if there is a problem, Apple can handle it.  The buck Stops there.  The problem with this is Apple is “HIGH PRICED” on anything they do.

To be honest, I think I am leaning Apple.
