8701 Dental Assistant w/ FMF

Hey guys. I already have the above mentioned NEC, however I head to Field Med in a couple of weeks. When I finish with that training will I then be 8707 or will I have 8701 as my primary and 8404 as my secondary NEC?

I'm curious only because I'm looking at jass right now and I want to make sure I am interpreting the open billets correctly. I selected Fleet Marine Force Medical/Dental Technician but every opening has 8404 next to it.

Just trying to get this all cleared up before I speak to a detailer in a few months.

Corpsman and Dental Technician NEC's, (jobs) I believe have since merged and are one in the same. Read = 8404.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

8404 third.

Also understand Mark, you lose the Dental NEC as soon as you hit E-4... So work hard..
