View Full Version : Mitt?
Ok, so I recieve a text message from our son,who is im Mojave Viper right now.
He stated that he was picked for the MITT (Military Transition Team). I did a little research on the net as to just what he is about to get into. As if I was not already worried enough.....how did he did picked for this? Do you think that this was something that he volunteered for? Do I need to be even more concerned about his well being? If someone could give me any additional insight I so would appreciate it.

Hmmm..
I wish I could tell you he volunteered but he didn't. We had several HM's at our hospital when I was there who got deployed to these teams. They basically Train the Iraqi's Medical People.
Everywhere is dangerous there. I can't lie to you. But I can tell you after 100's of thousands of Personnel who have been there Most (And I do mean Most in a good way) come back no problems.
What I can advise you is to not let on your worried while he is deployed, he needs to focus on his mission, not Mom back home. I know this sounds harsh but it is the plane truth. We have to be 110% focused on our missions.
Your Free to come here "ANYTIME" or even call me if you need to I will forward my Phone number if you want it, to vent. We have many parents who are on here who are going through what your going through or they are about to go through it.
Let us know..
Standing by ready to assist.

Yeah, I sort of got that!
But really, I appreciate both your supports. What can I do about situations that are beyond my control? I will learn to deal a little better I'm sure as time goes on.. I will stay in touch.
Thanks again.
but having an ear to listen and a shoulder to lean on can help too - believe me - I know - just ask Da-Chief I think he has a permanent lean to the left from me leaning on him for support :) Thanks Chief for all you have done for me (just in case I forgot to say it)
gijane - we are all here for you - some of us have been through deployment and the deployment of loved ones - you EVER need to vent or just want to cry on a shoulder - WE ARE HERE FOR YOU.
