I am excited and nervous at the same time to be heading out. I PSI to Naval Hospital Pendleton while I await FMSS to start up in May. Following FMSS, I join 1st MED BAT/1st MLG and get the show on the road ;)

Anyone have any hints/tips/suggestions for me?

if your going to field med i suggest getting in shape... buy some mole skin and prepare for humps in the sand. take care of your feet!!!!!!!!!!!!

also... you might consider getting a high and tight as to not draw attention to yourself. your gonna get assimilated into the marine corps... might as well enjoy it and look like one. :)

... learn to surf, it helps you forget about the stress.

field med is right on the beach... unless they moved it.

LMAO @ High and Tight...

Umm...No thanks, on most days. I have gone from flat top, to H&T, to low reg, to hippie, to med reg, bald, and back to high and tight(repeat process). Southern california girls aren't much of a fan of the H&T. Short is definitely good though in field med.

I went through FMSS in Lejeune. Pendleton hills are a bitch, but the weather is absolutely beautiful this time of year. Pay a visit to Gaslamp district in San Diego, and take a drive completely across Camp Pendleton down Basilone road. I think it's a nice drive at least
