Well folks it looks like football season is upon us which means it is time for predictions, trash talking, and time to knock Doc Pardue of his high horse. I would like to start by making my predictions first this year's Super Bowl will be the San Diego Chargers -VS- the Dallas Cowboys with Dallas winning by one point in the most exciting Super Bowl ever. The Colts will not be able to over come key losses to an already weak defense, the Pats will start out slow and make one heck of a run falling just short. In the NFC McNabb will get hurt again and miss a hand full of games and the Eagles will stumble into the playoffs, Da-Bears defense will once again be the best in the NFL but they still have Grossman at QB and that is why they do not earn home field in the playoffs and why they loss at New Orleans, mean while Dallas gets revinge on the Sea Chickens and win a thriller against the Saints. And Newt beats Pardue in a battle of top notch arm chair quarterbacks, and dominates the College bowl season once again. Haha it's going to be fun.

Between October and February I'll be up at Great Lakes (RTC NHCS), so I'll miss out on a lot of games.
Great pick with San Diego Chargers.
Can't really argue with the NFC predictions either. The compitition is close.

We don't do pro football as much in our house. Here it is more of an issue to watch Big Blue take out the Buckeyes this year! (Andi, did you see this? Your Boys are going DOWN!)

Here are my predictions for the super bowl:
The Vikings vs It doesn't matter
Vikings win by however much they feel like
The nation goes into shock by Vikes winning first ever bowl, and Tavaris Jackson is the new leader of the free world (what's left of it).

Come on man the Vikings they're gonna have a good ground game this year but Tarvis Jackson is not that good he'll have an average season and the Vikings will go 7-9 maybe 8-8 they are two years from being a real contender.
boo hiss - hate the plowboys

deedee who's your team?
finally, the thread I've been waiting for. Having been a resident of WI all my life and my birth place only 25 miles from Green Bay, I will always be there for the Packers. As for the Vikings, well they will never go anywhere with Brad Childers as the Head Coach. He was a fine offensive Coordinator in Philly, but with him Minnesota is going nowhere fast again. As for the Bears, well they need to do something with Rex, he might be OK as a backup QB but not as their starter. The Packers, well they are a young team with a good defense, hopefully they'll have good receivers and running backs and Farve should have another outstanding year, he might be getting older, but you can't replace those years of experience (Right Chief?) It should be a good year to follow.
Later,
Brian

Here is how I predict the NFC East to finish:
Dallas 12-4 (good ground game and solid air attack + an agressive D = alot of wins)
Philly 10-6 (McNabb goes down back up QB not ready Philly stumbles down the stretch)
NY 7-9 (average D + average O = average team)
Wash 5-11 (no solid QB and old crusty coach + an ok defense, which will be playing alot = bad results)
That's what I think and if you don't like it, too bad.

Today I look at the AFC North and lay out my perdiction, this is a deep division it's very easy that I could be completly wrong on my outlook but I'm gonna put it out any way.
Here is how i predict the AFC North to finish:
Bengals 11-5 (offense carries them to this record but they don't go deep into the playoffs)
Ravens 9-7 (defense is the name of the game 50/50 playoff shot)
Steelers 9-7 (big Ben is healthy but they are learning a new system 50/50 playoff shot)
Browns 6-10 (Browns are still the Browns and the QB situation will hold this team back this season, Romeo stays but he could be gone if this team is not .500 or better next year)
Best division in the NFL hands down they will beat each other up and one maybe two teams make the playoffs.

I think the AFC East will finish like this:
New England 13-3 (Brady has new toys and he learns how to use them)
J-E-T-S, Jets-Jets-Jets!!! 9-7 (They take a step back this year and are a 50/50 to make the playoffs)
Bills 7-9 (Next year they "circle the wagons" and make the playoffs but not this year)
Dolphins 5-11 (They have a better defense this year, but the offense still needs work)

This division hasn't changed much but I think Da Bears took a step back in the off season.
Bears 10-6 (No T. Jones= all C. Benson= drop off, defense win Championships but no offense only takes you so far)
Packers 10-6 (Worse division record, means they finish 2nd)
Vikings 8-8 (Young QB, young RB, strong D look for better results next year)
Lions 6-10 (Kitna making promisses that his team can't keep, because of the D, and lack of ground game)
The NFC is going to beat up on each other this year which shows the teams are improving so I see some close races.
