View Full Version : Medical PDA's
Has anyone out there ever dealt with a PDA for medical use? I was looking at some on Ebay, they have quiet a few ref. books on them. Just seeing if anyone has used one or has one. Thanks!

I use a dell axim x51v it was about 400.00 with an extra 2 GB memory card(50.00) and I subscribe to epocrates. They have pharmacy, lab, Dx, Sx updated daily with CME you can submit for Ceu credits, along with med. calculators. If your a IDC or do sickcall a lot these are a great idea. Its a little expensive but great product. www.epocrates.com

Hey All,
Bought my wife a Smartphone (BlackJack/Cingular) with 2 gigs of memory. I did some research and went to several office stores etc.. PDA's are for the most part being discontinued and the Smartphone is the way to go.
My question to you all, for Nursing, Needs Meds, PT discharge instructions etc.. (Nursing stuff), do you have any recommendations? I know from a medical mag as well Doc's as well as Nurses were advising steering away from PDA's to go to the SMARTPHONE as it was one less piece of equipment to carry.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks
HMC
