The guided-missile destroyer USS Preble (DDG 88) returned to its homeport of San Diego Aug. 29. Preble, as part of the John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group (JCSSG), supported Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom and maritime operations during its seven-and-a-half month deployment.
