Well several Answers.. Good Job..
The six HMC's to be selected in Oct 1958 to become the first HMCM's (E9), effective 16 November 1958, were: H Brown, F Byrd, J McClendon, C Russell, J Shindledecker, L Wyatt, but I cannot tell you who put on their stars first, got paid first, or officially held seniority over the other five.
Here is some more trivia for you:
HMCM(SW/AW) Jacqueline L. K. DiRosa became the Navy’s first female Force Master Chief in April 2002. She is the eighth Force Master Chief for the Navy Medical Department
His Prize? He get s a pair of Logitech USB Digital 250 Headset.. Congrats HMC..(He was getting em anyways.. but what the hell!)
