Are you deployed and not getting many letters or packages from home?
Is there anyone in your unit not getting letters or packages from home who you would like to recommend for adoption by one of our members? :)

Is there something specific you would like sent to you? Please post it here - you never know who will be able to fulfill your wish list :)

We have several members interested in sending letters and packages to deployed personnel - If you would like to be on the receiving end of these packages please contact me - editor@corpsman.com (editor@corpsman.com) - with all the mailing information to get packages and such to you - PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION ON THIS THREAD DUE TO OPSEC CONCERNS

If you would be interested in "adopting" a deployed member please contact me - editor@corpsman.com (editor@corpsman.com)

Thanks
DeeDee

I have a Det that is shipping out later this month. After they learn their assigned addresses, I will see about added them to your list.

I will have two more Det's going for fun in the sun around Feb/Mar...

Thank you for trying to put this together!

I think this makes sending care packages more personal - you can donate to a group who sends stuff out but you don't know who is getting it - this way you get to decide what to send and you get a chance to get to know your "adpotee" :)

Hey, Dee?

I have some interest at my office for doing a holiday season collection/shipping thingie that fits this bill (We normally collect for local families but I have suggested this type of support this year). Can you share some of the places where we could maybe look for ideas? I've seen the list of items requested for the Sandbox and I have already started requesting the Carekits/Boxes from US Postal. Now I think I need to find out things about distribution.

Can you help? If its better in PM, thats fine too!

DocDad - email me deedee@corpsman.com and lets see what we can come up with - I found a really neat list of "themed" care packages that was really inspiring :)
for example Thanksgiving in a box, "Just Hangin' Around" (using a monkey theme) etc

Talk to you soon
