what can you bring?

hey i got a new shipping date to bootcamp. my new date is 8/21/2007 this month in about two weeks. so i was wondering after bootcamp what can i bring to a school and fmss school? i was thinking of things like cell phones and computers and such... and how is the living quarters?

You bring nothing to bootcamp (I think you can have a 6 inch bible). The clothes you wear to bootcamp you'll ship back home.

Once you get to NHCS (A school) you will be able to have a cell phone, watch, laptop computer, civ. clothes. You can buy these things there or have them sent from home (but you don't have much personal space). There are some limits and rules on when you can wear/use the above in A school. That depends on things like your liberty status and whether on not your are on or off duty.

thanks. how are the living quarters? is it like dorms or what? im trying to learn how its like now rather then later.

Gbowen has it right...as far as watches go...you need a watch with a second hand; cell-phones and laptops are fine, as long as they do not find their way into the school house and on watch with you (I have a habit of collecting them up when I have duty and having the student get them from security).
