"Read this book and learn of a daughter's love and commitment to honor her father, who gave his last full measure of devotion to his country in a far off land long ago."

Senator John McCain

Which brings me to the book below, I have spoken with (Ok emailed back and forth) to the author Ms. Hanson.
She is a wonderful person who has put her heart and soul into this book. It took around 12 years (Writing and then trying to get it published) before the Marines helped her out. (Leatherneck publishing). I can tell you if you are going to purchase this book, please do it from LEATHERNECK PUBLISHING (http://www.leatherneckpublishing.com/) as she recieves more for each book sold through them rather then through AMAZON.COM. Come to find out AMAZON.COM does not pay very much per copy. I just want to help her recoup her expenses on this book. Lets support a daughter of a true doc who gave his all for his country and his fellow MARINES.
I hope to interview her soon for our podcast, if you know of anyone who can review this book in the media, lets help her out!!! Semper Fi Ms. Hanson!!

I bought the book, after seeing Chief Crone's promotion of it here on Corpsman.com. Got it straight from Leatherneck Publishing and sent out an email to other Corpsman I know, to also purchase it. It makes me a bit emotional, I have to admit. I think you could sell more of these books, by asking Corpsman to sell them for you to thier respective shipmates, and at Reserve Centers to other Corpsmen there as well. Good luck with your book.

My father was an Iwo Jima corpsman, so I'm a corpsman's kid, too.

I'm sorry about your dad. I'm glad you found him.

Well its a pleasure to have you aboard these forums, and its honor to know that you went above and beyond to get the story and put it out there for all to see. I'll be picking up my copy, and will be getting the information out to all the corpsman that I know.
