So I'm going from NMCSD to FMTB Camp Lejeune for the March 08 class. I'm unable to to get on the FMTB web site for Camp Lejeune (but can get on the one for Camp Pendleton). So i have a couple questions. Where can i find the most updated list for what is considered a "full seabag"/and specific items for FMTB? Also, i'll end up checking in to 2nd MLG, but in the meantime, are there any military storage facilities around Camp Lejuene that i can hold most of my stuff in while im at FMBT (i dont want to keep all my stuff at home, Illinois, then have to spend a bunch of money just to have it all shipped 2 months later)? And what about my car? I guess I'm just worried about moving from coast to coast and how to deal with all my belongings. BUT I CAN'T WAIT TO GET THERE! IM SO EXCITED!

From the main Camp Pendleton page, on the left there is a link for commands. But here is the information you are looking for:

All personnel will report with a full Seabag. Senior personnel should check current requirements since they may be different from their initial uniform issues.

ACTIVE DUTY Enlisted students enrolled in the basic course will be issued all FMF uniform items.

ALL Reserve personnel enrolled in the basic course must be given a field Uniform Issue at their reserve center before departing to this course.
All students are required to bring the following items.
1 Pair Navy Blue PT shorts
4 White T-shirts
1 Navy Blue Sweatshirt
1 Pair Navy Blue Sweat pants
1 Pair Running Shoes
2 Set Dog Tags
1 Military Issue White Towel and Rag set
1 Military Issue Olive Green Towel and Rag set
3 Black Master Lock Combination Padlocks
1 Red Lens Flashlight
Whistle
Flashlight with red lens
Pen
4 sets of boot bands
4 sets of rank insignias
3 Black Masterlock combination locks.
1 Large white mesh laundry bag
Camouflage Face Paint
Yellow Reflective Belt
Personal Items: All personnel should bring a sufficient amount of toiletry articles and towels to provide for their personal comfort during the training period.
DO NOT BRING

Large Radios
Television Sets
Knives over 3 inches
Personal Weapons (Guns)
Expensive Jewelry, Watches or Cameras
NOTE: Cameras are allowed but may become damaged. Recommend a disposable type.
All students must check in seasonal dress uniform. No exceptions.

Check with you LPO about CURRENT full seabag requirements, as they have changed since you attended bootcamp. I don't have the FMTB phone number for Camp Lejeune, however, FMTB and the whole Navy are the same, so contact Camp Pendleton, FMTB at Phone: (760) 725-2559

You can have a car at FMTB, however, please follow the orders, regulations of FMTB about it's use, when and where! Your car will have to be registered, inspected and stickered with a base access sticker. You will also need proof of car insurance.

STORAGE: Call Camp Lejeune 2nd MLG at:

2d MLG Telephone NumbersStaff Duty Officer 910-451-2826
Unit Toll Free Number 1-800-664-7193

2D MLG GROUP CHAPLAIN 450-6186

My son had his car at Lejeune when he attended FMSS (now FMTB). You will have to take an online "driving course" before your car will be permanently registered on base. They will issues you a temp pass until you do that. As far as storage goes my son used his car for that. When my son was there (which was up until about 2 weeks ago) a North Carolina car inspection was not required as long as the vehicle was not registered in NC. Hope this helps you out.

Thats according to age/rank... so if your under 24/e4 you will need the safety class. Check camp lejeune's TMO for storage questions, or you can find a place in jacksonville. don't get crazy buying boot bands, whistle, etc. the local exchange will have all that stuff on hand. start working out, the humps and pt can kick your butt if your not in shape. the school house and barracks are on camp Johnson. think like a Marine and you'll get buy the school just fine.

Welcome Aboard HM1, were glad to have an instructor contact who can answer FMTB questions. It's also nice to have the contact number, and a working website for FMTB East.

Looking to see more of you on here.

I'm curious about the MCMAP training that I didn't get there. :(

Additionally, are there MCMAP training opportunities for reservists and where would that training be held?

IF you are with Divison you'll get MCMAP. I've already been told I'll be in classes soon from the recon unit I'm attached to. A Sgt and a CPL are both instructors, each at a different level.

When I was with the MAW for that one weekend I was never even given an answer.

I look forward to gaining technical and practical expertise in MCMAP.

Mark;

You're attached to a recon unit? Are you going to get to attend the recon pipeline?

oorah Delta! Sheesh, what is the Delta for anyways.....

I got attached to a sniper team and I've only had 1 drill with them so I don't have too much information yet.

All I know is they have an acronym with recon in it. lol

And, Delta was my old instructor team. Our current instructor, Pegasus, is an instructor in Delta unless they move from team to team.

Helluva instructor group. Gave real answers when I asked real questions. No beating around the bush. ;)
