Have you seen a movie recently? Was it worth the price of admission or the rental fee? Would you recommend it to the rest of us or tell us to avoid it at all costs?

I had an extremely difficult exam this week. It was difficult not only because of the subject matter involved, but also because I missed 2 out of the 3 lectures involved. So I had a pretty stressful couple of days, and when my instructor posted my grade online, and we discovered that I got an A on said exam, my dear husband ordered me to NOT study anything else or do any housework. Were going to sit down and watch a movie together, and the movie he selected was not a chick flick or comedy, it was Wrong Turn 2.
I don't know if anyone has seen the first Wrong Turn, but it is about these college kids who inadvertently find themselves lost in the woods of West Virginia, and find themselves amidst some mutant inbred individuals. They are the product of each other, literally, and some chemicals from a nearby factory. It scared the bejeeeeezus out of me. So, yeah, let's make me watch the second one, and get upset when I have to go to the restroom and make you go in the bathroom before me to ensure that nothing is lurking just beyond the shower curtain, John!
But the second one WAS NOT scary at all. The second was more disgusting than anything. Keep in mind that I can handle gore. It is, literally, part of my job description at times. But this was beyond that. There was also some humor thrown in the mix. This could be a good thing, but I don't think the humor is intentional. For example, picture 2 people, both with a mild form of elephantitis, who can only communicate by grunting, having ummmmm.....realations. The sight and sounds involved with that.
So I will say that the movie was interesting, to say the least. But if you are in the market for a good horror flick, save your time and money. After all, if I scare that easily and even I laughed through much of the movie, than this one obviously did not have the desired effect.
300, The Kingdom, and Grizzly Man are all really good movies. Grizzly man is more of a documentary and older but still well worth watching.
