Ok November 20th is coming closer. I'm almost on my way to become a Corpsman. Anyone want to give me some "real" advice and HCMS motivational talk?

It's all good citrus just wanted to make sure you were not joining "HER MAJESTY's NAVY"..

Seriously dude.. Start running, Push-ups, Sit ups, (Navy does situps, Marines Crunches), Pull ups, and learn to "STRRRREEEEEEEETTTTTTTCCCCCCHHHHH" to gain flexibility.
Also learn to stand at attention for long periods of time. Go find the nearest "BEE HIVE" and stand about 20 feet away, lock yourself up no matter what.. For about 30 min's.. Flex your knees so you don't pass out and Nose dive..
;)
You will then get set for Boot..
Seriously.. Learn the General orders, learn the Chain of Command, See if you can learn what knots and stuff you have to know.. anything to help out with Boot. really don't focus on NHCS yet your mission is Boot Camp, after you successfully finish that then contact us and we will help guide you.

Thanks Chief. I hope to score over 280 on the fitness test so I can gradaute RTC with that extra Ribbon!
Flexibilty wise I am the only Muay Thai Kickboxer in my Gym that can not touch my toes haha.
Kaymansim should I purchase a laptop at Great Lakes or just go ahead and buy one now so my parents can mail it over? Tell me what internet and all that stuff to buy!

Extra ribbon? Not at RTC unless it's something new. You get your National Defense ribbon and a markmanship ribbon should you qualify at the range.
You don't need a laptop. Use that crazy pile of papers they give you -- that's a book. Laptop is just something that looks cool and can play DVDs. You don't need it at NHCS so don't worry about it.
I want to keep in touch with Chief Crone and the corpsman.com family while I am in A School.
Kaymansim was on his laptop almost every night letting us know how class was working out!

A buck for internet is big money? Are you forgetting that you'll need broadband service for your laptop? Sprint charges $60 a month. I don't know off hand what other cell phone companies charge. A laptop is just something someone can steal or it breaks, etc. I have personal experience with a laptop I had during FMTB that was stolen. It is not worth the headache in the long run. You really need to learn to save money as you begin your Naval career. It will help you tremendously in the long run. Get into TSP, too. At least 5%, but I'd suggest 10%.
I have heard about theaves and that's truely too bad. Hopefully you found the laptop!
I thought it was a dollar for like 10 minutes of online time but I guess I'm wrong.
Thanks though Corpsman for the wisdom!
Caleb,
Internet access while you are at Corps School is a great thing - especially if you are using it to keep in touch with your family and friends (yeah and us too) :)
If you have a laptop sent to you there just be sure to take good care of it and don't leave it lying around where someone else can use it, break it or steal it. If you aren't using it or sitting right there when someone else is - LOCK IT UP!!!!! Broadband connection in the barracks (atleast the ones Dan has been is) can be hit or miss since they are mostly concrete and brick which can cut down your signal significantly.

Citrus,
Everyone has their own experiences. But I can tell you that a LAPTOP is a USEFUL Tool if you have one. I know if you were to speak at Kaymanism, he would tell you how it helped him out.
But the advice given by DeeDee is Dead on.. LOCK YOUR CRAP UP WHEN NOT IN USE!!!
Laptops get stolen all the time, Mark is right. Don't trust "ANYONE" at school. You really don't know them. Trust me..
Not to say not to be nice.. but it is your crap not theirs..
Now 60.00 a month is what we pay for our Internet access at home, I know Kaymanism is using a card from Sprint right now and it does good. The good news about this it follows you all over.. THe bad.. you lock yourself into a contract. But The Phone companies also suspend your account if you get deployed as it will not work over seas.
Budget your money, make sure you do get the GI bill and you do get the TSP.
Good Luck..
