What is clear is that most Americans are in a state of total denial
and don't have anything of an appreciation of our being at war and with
whom. This enemy is sworn to our destruction, but too many refuse to
heed their words. And this enemy doesn't have to come ashore from
submarines to get inside the USA . They are already here, there, and
everywhere; planning, coordinating, equipping themselves and getting ready.
We don't need our government to warn us. We just have to listen to what
our enemy says he intends to do. Are you still one who believes you
can negotiate with these people? -- taught since kindergarten that we
are Satan Incarnate and must be eradicated from the earth; that is if we
don't convert to Islam and submit to Sharia law. World communism was
junior high when compared to the insanity of their apocalyptic dream of
a great Armageddon. Communists were rational enough not to wage a
nuclear war, having calculated the incalculable cost of human lives
that would've been lost, including their own. The Islamic tide has
no such qualms in its welcoming of a blood bath that would involve the
deaths of hundreds of millions. Too many of them celebrate just such a
prospect. Yet, we continue to deny that they mean what they say.

No offense brother, but this looks a lot like a cut-&-paste internet chain letter spewing hate mongering anti-Islamic propaganda. If you are the original author of this text, then the brush you are painting with is much too broad and IMHO counterproductive to "winning" the so called GWOT.
Recently, it has become fashionable to re-write history (http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/news/)to say that the Communists were rational and ignore significant events (http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/NSAEBB/)of the last century. During the Cold War, Western and Communist leaders regularly portrayed each other as fanatics. Ronald Reagan famously characterizing the Soviet Union as the ‘Evil Empire’ who had no respect for human life. I am glad, however, that we have nothing to worry about from the rational communists in North Korea (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/2340405.stm)and their development of nuclear weapons.
Individual totalitarian communist governments slaughtered their people by the tens of millions. Collectively as a whole, in less than 90 years, communism has already bathed in the blood of nearly one hundred fifty million people and that figure excludes the combat deaths during war. Hitler and Pol Pot were "junior high" when compared to the insanity of communism.
Mao Tse-tung, by far, leads the list and Uncle Joe Stalin is next in line as the 20th Century's greatest killers. From 1917-1987, the Soviets alone committed democide of an estimated 61,911,000 people (http://www.hawaii.edu/powerkills/USSR.CHAP.1.HTM)(54,769,000 of them Soviet citizens, 7,142,000 non-Soviets) Chinese communists killings are estimated at 76,702,000 (http://freedomspeace.blogspot.com/2005/11/reevaluating-chinas-democide-to-be.html)people from 1928 to 1987.
The "enemy" today is a bunch of fanatical extremists with their own warped interpretations of a religion and is but a miniscule fraction of a much larger group who are not our enemies. While I do not believe you can negotiate with the lunatic extremists who are truly our "enemy", I also believe that to alienate and estrange an entire religion or race would be a fatal mistake on our part.
One fifth of the world population share Islam as their faith. Muslims are the majority in 52 nations. They speak about 60 languages and come from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds.
Islam is NOT the "enemy".
Muslims are NOT the "enemy".
Do not be distracted from the target or play into the enemy's hand by misdirecting our efforts. To imply that this video is some sort of "proof" for anything other than the existence of a small group of extremists is ridiculous. This video does no more to indict all Muslims and the religion of Islam than any of the literally thousands of idiotic internet videos serve to indict all Americans and the Judeo-Christian religions.
Lunatics in foreign countries teach their children to hate, just like the lunatics here in the US teach their children to hate (http://abcnews.go.com/Primetime/story?id=1231684&page=1).Their media helps to create mistrust of outsiders, just as our media does here (http://www.amazon.com/Reel-Bad-Arabs-Hollywood-Vilifies/dp/1566563887). Threats at home that don't involve Muslims or Islam are often overlooked (http://www.csmonitor.com/2003/1229/p02s01-usju.html)or quickly forgotten (http://www.thememoryhole.org/terror/tyler-terror.htm). Followers of Islam are not the only religion to deliberately attack the United States (http://www.ussliberty.com/). Children of other religions engage in hateful behavior (http://www.prussianblue.net/)and do things that may shock the senses (http://www.truthdig.com/eartotheground/item/20060718_israeli_girls_lebanon_bound_rockets/).
Since Islam is so bad, maybe I should join a nice Christian group like they had down in Jonestown (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonestown)or maybe Waco. Oops, wait a minute, that first group drank some bad Kool-Aid and the Texas group was killed during a confrontation with another bunch of Christians (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/waco/blunders.html). But then that BBQ only served to motivate another fine Christian to blow-up that building full of Christians in Oklahoma City (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oklahoma_City_bombing)on the birthday of another fine outstanding Christian (http://www.stephenjaygould.org/ctrl/quotes_hitler.html). I hear there are some really good old boy Christian groups (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ku_Klux_Klan)in some parts of the country that have real interesting plans for America, but I don't know if I would look that good in a white dress.
But why are we even mad at Muslims? Good Christians like Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell (http://www.snopes.com/rumors/falwell.htm) told me all "the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians...., (and) the ACLU" have made God mad at us so God is punishing America. This Christian group (http://www.godhatesamerica.com/index.html)appears to agree with them (http://www.godhatesfags.com/photos/thisyear.html).
Given all this, I don’t think we should not condemn an entire religion or millions of people, just because a bunch of looney tunes talk smack on camera.
Back in the 1980's, the propaganda said the Mujahideen were better than the nasty Commies. Rambo III (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095956/)portrayed them as heroic and they were financed, armed, and trained (http://www.cbc.ca/news/background/afghanistan/schools.html)by the US during both the Carter (http://www.institute-for-afghan-studies.org/Foreign%20Affairs/us-afghan/us_policy_0.htm)and Reagan administrations. In his 1985 State of the Union Address, Reagan said: "We must not break faith with those who are risking their lives...on every continent, from Afghanistan to Nicaragua ... to defy Soviet aggression and secure rights which have been ours from birth. Support for freedom fighters is self-defense." These "holy warriors" opposed invading Soviet forces and eventually toppled the Afghan communist government during the Afghan War (http://www.smallwars.quantico.usmc.mil/search/LessonsLearned/afghanistan/miredinmount.asp)(1979–92).
"...a guerrilla wins by not losing, while the government loses by not winning. .... Each side must discredit the other by some means whether it be political, economic, psychological, or military. Generally, it is a combination of all these elements. The military aspects usually are fought to make space for the other aspects to work on the minds and pocket books of the population." “The lesson to be learned here was that no amount of firepower or fortification can be effective against an insurgent without first obtaining the support of the people who inhabit the country.” (from: The Use and Abuse of Technology In Insurgent Warfare (http://www.airpower.maxwell.af.mil/airchronicles/cc/Hain.html), 13 August 99)
"While America's military strength is important, let me add here that I've always maintained that the struggle now going on for the world will never be decided by bombs or rockets, by armies or military might. The real crisis we face today is a spiritual one; at root, it is a test of moral will and faith." (from: Reagan's "Evil Empire" speech (http://www.americanrhetoric.com/speeches/ronaldreaganevilempire.htm))
Instead of pissing off a major section of world population and pushing them to join with our enemies in fighting against us, let's elicit their support and welcome them to fight with us to crush the extremists that threaten all of us.
Besides, Americans have been preaching that eradication is better than conversion for longer than there has been an America. Or do you forget such phrases as “Give me liberty or give me death” and the more contemporary version “Better dead than Red"...? ;)

Wow, I must say that I really struck a cord. We face many who hate our way of life. While it is true that because one is a muslim does not mean that they all hate us. We have faced many enemies in the past and will in the future. I don't think we can become the world's police officer but we also can not put our head in the sand and hope that nothing will happen to us. Look what hate did to us during our own civil war and our own hate for someone who was not our skin color.
I would hope that we can learn to all live in peace and together find ways to help end violence. Thanks for reminding me of how much I need to look at people for who they are as individuals and not as a group.
