Not a CAG 1 guy but you and I probably know some of the same folks. I was in Jacksonville with Hs-7,A/C OPDET CECIL, VFA-34 and HSL 46.

Mike Todd, Arnie Garret, John Hardenburg, Milton Nieves and so many others. Did you know a kid named Keeler? I am the guy he would refer to as "F------ Dennis Lee". I heard the story of him getting busted out of 34and then what happened to him in Lejune. Mike Todd met me and told me all of it. Funny story!!!!!!

Lemme know if you know these guys

"FDL" LOL haven't thought of that in years!

mike bought my 90 300 zx from me. we called him turbo.

most of the other guys i was an avt with are probobly already out. i had a whole lotta fun as an apt as well.

ooohh i just remembered a funny story about keeler!!!

he decided to write the co of his squadron a down chit becasue he missed his dental birthmonth recal! wow he got in big time trouble!

he was also very paranoid about his dixie cup and he would starch it so much you could probobly stand on it!

Yeah and when he got in trouble for it (The CO's typed PE was in a pile I didn't get around to filing before I left VFA 34- but I told keeler and left him a huge list of things to do to finish off left over projects. He blamed all his problems at VFA 34 on me, even called me by the initials "FDL" (Fuc-ing Dennis Lee) .

Later I met Todd and he told me what happened on that issue then VFA 34 kicked him out of the squadron and we heard he was inLejune and that he got arrested for purchasing kiddie porn from a Marine. Something like four guys were arrested at Lejune.

Wonder if he still calls me "FDL"? I'ld love to see him again and ask him how he enjoyed the brig. I think he got a few years, probably still in there.

I remember an E3 with no sense and lots of bluster. Kid was definitely a head case fer sure.

hey i thought keeler took vfa34 over from mccain. he was part of va34 and they left him at oceana and sent part of the squadron down your way and then acouple of years later they brought them back up from there.

mccain actually PCS'd early. I walked in when there was no airplanes yet (VA 34 decommed and reestablished as VFA 34 at Cecil). When I got there, we had all our mechs (half were at VFA 106 for FRAMP. Nearly all our pilots were in one form of transition or another at either 106, Oceana or TOP GUN. A few were finished and just lounging around.

We got out first FA 18 about six months after I got there, then things went full afterburner and we went on cruise with in a year. We came back and I had 10 days left before I PCS'd. Keeler went on leave.

I had three days with the fool before he went on leave telling me he would figure it all out and he didn't need any hand holding.

Stayed home from work tonight, major vomiting and vertigo with a wild head ache. My wife left today for 10 days at her brother's house, so no one to baby me. This sucks!

I just woke up from a seven hour nap, feel ok but I ain't about to eat nada. Tossed breakfast all over my uniform on the way to work, turned around went home, showered and crawled in to bed wishing I was somewhere else. Head feels light, dizzy. Stomach ok, but I did lose it twice since getting home. Worst is past, think it's like that 12 hour crud we used to get on ship.

I sure hope so, I can't do work like this tomorrow.

No, I was sick yesterday. Been tired feeling for about a week. If I was faking I would do it this week end so I could do the MSF motorcycle saftey course.

Did you know OHIO and Michigan are the only two states that ever went to war against each other (alone) ? It happened over disagreements over where the border line was. No wonder Big Blue and Ohio State is such a rivalry.

Thank God the insanity that is college football missed us New Englanders, some one tell me when UCONN Basketball is on, til then, me sleep.

been sort of away for awhile. I dropped my bike (in my own driveway) but since then no problems. I did fill a certain hole up with cement so that I would not have the issue of loose stones any more.

I'm still getting used to riding, but its coming along ok. Been pretty cold here and not exactly a great way to move around on a bike. Warmer weather at my age will be most appreciated.
