My son is a Corpsman being depl;yed with Task Force National Capital Region. My questions is - How can I find out what Marine brigade etc this task force is associated with?

Sir,
Thanks for posting.. Might I ask.. Are you sure it is "MARINES"? I think that Task force is ARMY..
We serve together on a lot of missions now..

Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines. Everybody get's to play on the "joint" gigs. A quick web search gives me this...
Joint Task Force-National Capital Region (JTF-NCR)

Quantico Marines set to deploy with Task Force

However, with OPSEC concerns, they are unlikely to ID the unit in the press for a while
Hi... I just joined Corpsman.com to reply... Task Force National Capital Region or Task Force Bulldog is a unique unit. We are all home now... well most of us. The unit will be disbanded soon. All the Corpsman except our IDC have left the unit as we were only TAD to them. Yes it is a USMC unit... the only one of its kind out of Quantico, VA... the first and the last. Apparently we were too expensive and so the Commandant decided we weren't worth keeping but before I left Quantico, rumors were being held that there would be a second Task Force forming. Anyway, I just wanted to clarify, that yes. TFNCR is a Marine Corps Unit, we deployed to Iraq and came back last month. We are NOT JTFNCR that is a different unit, unless we fell under them and I just never knew it.
