View Full Version : Holiday plans 2007?
So what are you doing for the holiday season? Share your plans/traditions with the rest of us - who knows you may spark a new tradition for someone else :)

December 25th - today I spend at home with my husband and son Johnathan - Dan is on deployment and this is our first time without him at home.
I now know how my family must have felt that first time I wasn't home for the holidays. I keep hoping Dan will call but I know the phone centers there are going to be overflowing with people trying to call loved ones. So I really don't expect to hear from him. :(
I hope everyone has Happy Holidays and enjoys the time with family and friends.
Much Love
DeeDee
Best present ever??? A phone call from your deployed sailor on Christmas Day
Yep you guessed it - Dan called - was great to hear his voice especially when I really wasn't expecting it. The internet is down where he is but some how someone's Vonage phone is working so he called us for a few minutes. Sure was nice talking to him.
Somehow he seems further away when I talk to him on the phone than he does when I talk to him on Instant Messenger.
Sure miss that young man - can't wait til he comes home.
I'm gonna go wipe my eyes now :(
