Lotsa Snow = EXERCISE...
All my muscles today felt "EXERCISE"..
Anyone else around here into scrapbooking?
Anyone else around here into scrapbooking?
My daugher is getting into it, and I've been meaning to. Seriously I have. http://www.corpsman.com/forum/images/icons/icon11.gif
All my pictures are in boxes.
So ... I will be getting in touch. That is one of my "to do" projects this year. My daughter and I have already talked about taking a weekend and sitting in the living room and dumping out those boxes and to begin sorting and putting into piles for 'years' ... then the years into 'events' ... and from there divying up the loot. Some for her, some for me, and some to send to her father.
I want to do some special books as 'Christmas gifts' for next Christmas so I have to start NOW. First things first though ... that weekend to separate the loot. ;)
Lorraine - i tell ya - Sandy is the person to talk to about getting organized and getting all the stuff you could possibly want for this project
Sandy does the weekend scrap sessions too. She is good at that kind of stuff- i need to make time to do it myself.
Well, I do need the help and I won't hesitate on going to ladybird for it when the time comes. First, let me get all my Christmas stuff put away and organized in the basement (I'm rearranging everything down there right now and making sure I know where everything is to pull out for this). When that is done I'll be pulling out the pictures.
One of the things I want to do is to do a scrapebook for, don't you dare laugh, Super Bowl XL. My love for my Steelers and all things blackngold is the only vice I have. It could be worse, I could be out picking up men all the time, at the bars, or smoke or do drugs, right? ;) Anyway, I have a lot of stuff from that year's season beginning with the first game with clippings from the papers, stubs from games my daughter and I attended that year, as well as pictures from the super bowl party I had with my house all decked out in blackngold. Wish I had done something similar with the first 4 Super Bowls when I was a kid ... but hindsight makes me realize I need to do it for this one.
I am also going to be making a bunch of photo personalized gifts this upcoming Christmas for family. Personalized calendars for all of my sisters using pictures of them throughout the years at different ages to reflect the different months, as well as maybe some pictures on tee shirts with sayings under them, and then some scrapebooks for them using pictures I have taken over the years of us they don't have copies of.
My daughter started on her own earlier this year making up "scrapebooks" using binders. Her intent is to begin now so that she has a nice scrapebook by graduation for her best friend. She's in 9th grade now and plans to keep adding to it as the months and years pass. I better get her using the right stuff now.
I'm acutally glad you put this post up ladybird ... I will be tapping your gray matter on this and definitely purchasing from you. If I'm going to be in the market for this stuff anyway ... I'll be sure to put that money in your pocket. http://www.corpsman.com/forum/images/icons/icon14.gif
Can you give me more information on CM products? Is there a website to go and puruse?

HMC8404,
I am orginally from PA, actually Western PA. So I know all about the Steeler craze, except I would rather gouge my eyes out with a spoon than route for Big Ben. But my whole family is a BIG steeler fan. Things have gone downhill since Terry was the QB.

I was replying too much to this so I'm starting a new thread just for this conversation.

I started this thread - then forgot to set up to get email notifications when anyone posted to it. I am soooo bad!
Creative Memories whole product line can be found at www.creativememories.com (http://www.creativememories.com)
Your thoughts on how to get your pics organized are right on track. Start with year - then go to event. And I love your idea of a book just for the Steelers! No one will laugh at you for scrapping about what you love!
I have over 500 pics from Spring Break to get done this weekend! Can't wait to get started!
Talk with you soon!
Sandy
