I would like to go back to Great Lakes Corps School and teach a class or two for a complete training scession of Corpsman. How would I go about this for no pay except room, board, and travel expenses?
Thank you,
David

well, technically you would have to be a 9502 (instructor) and get orders here as an instructor and be an E-5. We could use the help.

Is there any such position as a private cunsultent or civilian contractor? As stated I wood do that for expenses. Would be good to take that walk from school to the hosp, but turn R at the EM Club for a long tall draft. Could not do that in 63 at 17! lol Went to Great Lakes Dragway instead..... lol
Thank you,
David

Heck, they wouldn't spend an extra dime when they can get HM2's to do it for 24-28 K a year.

I often wonder if the kids would even listen to a guy not in uniform. I even wanted to go speak to some, but since I don't think the canoe club wants to pay for it, and I'm pretty sure i can't, well the dream lives on but perhaps its best they get the teaching form some one close to their ages.

Our time is past, but we can still be active in our local communities. Our navy will teach their own, we'll just get in the way.

Anybody seen my walker?

pool? Hey I ain't going in the water!! I had enough water to last me a life time. I live in a land locked state for a reason. I hope I never again see an ocean!! Well not true, because a jet ski is so much fun out there! Lakes and jet skis scare me!

So, why is it in the pool? Hey POOLER, you're a rescue guy, jump in and drag my walker out would ya?

I remember walking from barracks/classroom up to the hospital for meals. One of those days, wind chill was about 50° below. Made for a brisk walk. (this was back in January 1977)

As a retired HM! is it possible to attend a graduation ceremony at Corps School even if I don't know any of the graduates? I thought it might be something my 21 year old son might want to observe and see what his dear old dad did back in 1975.
