Going to a party at some new friends house - looking forward to the lack of stress involved in going to a party. Haven't decided about which dish to pass to bring tho. Hope someone posts yummy ideas so I can bring something original :D

It consist of:
1 8oz Taco Sauce
1 Container of Sour Cream
1 Softened Cream Cheese
1/2 Packet of Onion Soup Mix
and Some Lemon
Mix all together and top with Tomatoes, Olives, Cheese and Lettuce.
You have to make sure the cream cheese is softened. Use a hand mixer to mix all ingredients together. The lemon you just squeeze a few drops into the mixture.
Serve with Taco Chips.
Marie:
The cream cheese sounds like a very interesting twist to taco dip. Thanks for the contribution.
Tofu Wings
This is an actual fried chicken wing, but the skin is removed. Then the meat is removed. Then grilled tofu is wrapped around the bone to look like chicken meat. Tendons made of seaweed are strung through the tofu, so that the piece exactly resembles a chicken wing. Finally, the original chicken skin is wrapped around the tofu; maybe held in place by glaze or additional batter. The result looks and feels like a chicken wing, but it's semivegetarian and healthier, too.
That's the "regular" version. In the "healthy choice" version, the chicken skin is replaced with vegetarian skin, but there is still a chicken bone inside.

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 cups chili sauce
1 cup grape jelly (can use currant jelly)
1 to 3 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 pound lean ground beef
1 egg, lightly beaten
3 tablespoons fine dry bread crumbs
1/2 teaspoon saltPREPARATION:
Combine chili sauce, grape jelly, and mustard in Crock Pot and stir well. Cook, covered, on high while preparing meatballs to bake. Combine remaining meatball ingredients and mix thoroughly. Shape into 30 meatballs. Bake meatballs in a preheated 400 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes; drain well. Add meatballs to sauce, stir to coat, cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 7 hours.
Another variation are the pre-cooked meatballs, grape jelly and one jar of your favorite BBQ sauce. Throw everything in a crock pot and turn it on till bubbly and hot and good. Great served individually with tooth picks.
