Ok Chief here's my 10 cents on RTC
For new Deppers about to enter Recruite Training Command AKA BOOT CAMP here is my advice
You will have to take 3 Physical Tests and 3 Book Tests.
Its bootcamp you should already be in shape. Run 2 miles in 14-16 minutes so you can get through it easy. 65 Push Ups 65 Sit Ups and your set.
As for the three written tests never stop reading your Blue Jackets Manual and Training Guide all throughout bootcamp. The tests are 50 questions each and multiple choice due to being taken on computers. Don't think these tests are made for success slackers can not guess it out! Pay attention in all your classes so you can perform well on your final test BATTLE STATIONS!
Volunteer to be a Dental Yeoman and do a damn good job, if your RDC likes you and you have no rank E-2 will be slapped on your left arm. RDC are there to break you, show military bearing customes and courtesies and you will not get ASMO (ed). Dont play NUT BALL or run around in a ski mask wrappin recruites up in sheets or your ass is gone. Your just a number to the Navy they dont care who you are, UNLESS you are a Captains child or somewhere on that level. The Dental, Medical, and Class Yeoman always get to hide in the back while everyone else is ITE ( Intensive Training Excercise) but you do perform a fair ammount of sick slips and hard card work. I would come out of the office and ITE with anyone and everyone every chance I got, stay in better shape then BOOT CAMP lets you.
Other than that in my opinion it was a game to break you down that went around in circles. They will point you out and break you sooner or later no matter what, they have a check list with everyones name to break down in my opinion.
GOOD LUCK HOOYAA I Prefer HOOOORRAHHHHH
