In 1994, PBS did a piece on life on an Aircraft carrier. They did a new one, a 10-peice series. Information at:

that they do. The preview for this look amazing... It really seemed like they did not close the door on the camera's anywhere, from a CPO writing a NJP for an illegal beverage (and the conversation surronding said beverage) to lives of the officers, to new sailors complaining that this the closest to jail they've been. I can't wait to see it.. Though by the time it is on TV I will probably at Great Lakes. *plots a DVD purchase*

It's also available on hulu...it was an interesting series, but remember that's it's very opinionated, and designed as more of a 'reality' (and I use the term very loosely...) show. I didn't agree with a lot of it, and had a hard time watching the last few episodes, but it did show a lot of issues that affect a large number of Sailors out in the fleet.

well most of it. Some of the videos cut off midpoint. BUT it was enlightening and in a way it was Soap Opera-ish. I'm not much for drama queens, so I plan on just keeping my opinions to my shut mouth should I be placed with the like. Please don't think me heartless. Anyway, I did watch it as a learning tool. It was kinda' like a kid watching an ant farm :p AND it gave me a chance to practice recognizing rank and rate actually on people (as opposed to a page in a book - or the umpteen flashcards I've drawn). It also reminded me to learn the Marine's rank system.
So again Corpsman.com gave me brain food today otherwise I would have never known there was such a show. Thank ya
