Good morning folks, new member here! I just volunteered for an IA to Afghanistan. I recieved my Noble Eagle number and its saying something about an Embedded Training Team with the Army. Was just curious if anyone knew anything about ETT's? I asked folks in my command ,yet no one seems to know too much about this subject. I am a 8404 corpsman, and ill be leaving the end of May for 117 days of training then off to Afghanistan. Thank you all for your time and any info!

8404 thank you for that information! Sounds like things should be pretty interesting to say the least. Hopefully ill be getting more detailed information on what ill be doing soon, some folks here are telling me not to make too much of the orders atm, because i wont really know what im going to be doing until im boots on the ground in Afghaistan.

Thank you again for your response 8404!

If you have specific questions, I might be able to help you out, just PM me. I just returned from a deployment with a Marine ETT over there. We worked a little with the Army as well. Your experience will probably be dependent upon the AO and the Kandak you are advising. Honestly though, things change so much, that by the time you get there, the situation will be different than mine. Just try and learn from predeployment training and good luck to you.
