I am an HM2 instructor at Corps School and found this site through my mother who has already joined. I have not been deployed to Iraq but have been to Field Med and suppposedly my 2 years in Cuba supported the GWOT.

My first duty station was in MCAS Beaufort, SC where as hospital staff augmenting the clinic I experienced what is is like to take care of Marines. If given the choice between being on a ship and being with the Marines, I would choose the Marines! I respect tremendously anyone who has been deployed and put their life at risk for others.

My plans, even though the Navy has treated my very well, is to continue in the medical field as a civilian nurse. So after 2010, I will be back in my home state of WI!

If you have any questions about nursing, please feel free to ask. I am a newly graduated as of May and I know that you will love being a nurse, though probably not as much as being in the Navy. Take care!

HMGirl;

We consider it an honor to have you with us. I'm sure we will have plenty of questions for you from our Delayed Entry Program participants and from others in the fleet interested in the HM field.

Be sure to share our website with others.
