Hi,
I thinking about being a corpsman in the navy and I was wondering if there was a program that is an active duty service in HM for 15 months then a Reserve service afterwards?
thanks

15 months, sounds like the National call to service program.
Enlist as a HM then Boot, A school , FMSS then the 15 months starts. in the fleet.
Then the reserve commitment begins, or something along those lines.
If your looking to be an HM decide on active or reserve (both has pros and cons)
Once you decide that, you can choose which of the HM programs fit you.
Good luck

I have a lot of my junior sailors hating the NCS- they wish they had more time on active duty. That being said, if your interested in going to the Reserves, then go NCS or straight up Reserves. If you opt for NCS YOU HAVE TO FINISH YOUR RESERVE OBLIGATION . think about that- Also if you go and become a Doc, take advantage of taking the National Registry EMT exam, if you can knock out some more highspeed training, do that (CPR Instructor, etc) This will look good on your resume, and you can use it in "the world"... Good luck..
HM2 out..
