Hey.
I'm 19 been out of high school for a year now. I've spent the last year contemplating about what direction I want to go in. Well it has lead me here to ask some questions to make a decision.
I'll post my questions in the appropriate board.

Thanks,
austin

Ok well here is the 411... I joined the Navy in Jan of 1993 and went to boot camp in San Diego... I first joined as a two year term but was given the opportunity to go to A school during boot camp for being an outstanding recruit. So then I was stationed in New Port Rhode Island, where I staying for a couple of years. The last part of my four years was spent is ICELAND... I really enjoyed up there, but like so many people in the Navy, negativity is like a disease. and I got out when, I should have stayed in. I really loved my time in the Navy and at 34 1/2 I am thinking about going back into the reserves. I was told today when I called a recruiter that they only allow people who have been out less than six years to come back, so I am not sure what I am going to do. I might join the reserves and try to transfer to the active side. But I am not sure how difficult that will be. Anyway, I am looking forward to speaking with likeminded individuals. I currently own a mortgage company in TEXAS and I am married with a three year old daughter...

ssrader;

I don't have the answer you're looking for, however someone should be coming along and be able to provide you with some information regarding prior service enlistment into the reserves.

What part of Texas?
