Anyone seen it? Worth the price of admission?
Let me know - I think I want to go see it :D
Here's a trailer for it:

Thanks Tony - i've seen all the trailer and official propaganda on the movie just wondered if anyone from the site had actually seen the entire movie and what they thought of it. :)
Sigh.............what's a man to do?

No ... I haven't ... BUT my daughter went last night to see it. Her and 5 of her friends from school. I saw all the trailors to it too and asked her if she wanted to go and see it, thats when she told me her and her friends wanted to go last night. "Great!" I thought ... I'd drive them. Then she told me they had a ride with another mother. Dang it! When she came home last night she raved on and on about it and wants to see it again. So we're going to see it on Easter Sunday while the ham is cooking.
She said it's really funny. You know, the original Dr. Seuss' 'Horton Hears A Who' book is short, like his 'The Grinch Who Stole Christmas' book was. Remember when they made that into the movie they added more storylines and a love interest? I, personally, hate that movie adaptation of 'The Grinch Who Stole Christmas', and because of it I was hesitating on this movie. But after my daughter told me this one was different and much better, I'm game!

My favorite line from the book was always, "I say what I mean and I mean what I say. An Elephant's faithful 100 percent!" I took that to heart when I was a kid, and it molded my attitude towards promises, secrets, vows, oaths, my given word etc. Its why my sisters and brother would try to play "truth or dare" with me and get me to take the "truth" part ... they knew I wouldn't lie. LOL ... but I always took the dare because of that fact. I was never going to let go of a promise or a secret spoken in confidence. To this day I tend to be a woman of my given word. There's not much if you don't have that. I hope they stick to that concept in this cartoon movie.
Sigh.............what's a man to do?
Whatever his wife tells him to do. ;) :D
Thanks for the review - I am really leaning toward paying the high price of theatre admission to go see it.

I didn't pay a high price, but then I always go to the matinee showings. Yesterday I went to the 2:15pm showing and paid $5.25 for each of us. Nah, I don't pay big bucks for a movie .:nah:
DeeDee ... the movie was great. I give it http://www.corpsman.com/forum/images/icons/icon14.gifhttp://www.corpsman.com/forum/images/icons/icon14.gif.
Not only did they keep Dr Seuss' rhyming prose, which is essential, but they mixed in a lot of the book illustrations along the way. There was one part that made fun mimicking Japanese Anime cartoons.
This is definitely a good family movie to take in with the kids. I didn't even mind Jim Carey's voice as Horton. Actually, he did very good as Horton (unlike as he was in the Grinch with all of his little gimmicks added in), he kept his personal flair out of it.
