What are your plans if any?

We'll go over to one sister's house where several of us will gather to do it like we did when we were kids. I don't care how old I get, I'll always do it. Its fun and I like to make deviled eggs and egg salad sandwiches anyway.

Tomorrow we'll be visiting my mother on Holy Saturday.

Sunday its early morning mass to celebrate Christ's rising from the dead. Then we'll take in the day leisurely, my daughter and I, and prepare the Easter meal together and set the ham to marinate in the crock pot as we take in a movie together, take walks, etc. Just good family talk time together.

My daughter doesn't like egg salad anything but she does like deviled eggs and hard boiled eggs in general. Still, we only made a dozen and decorated them. I don't care how old I get, I'm always decorating eggs. It takes 40 years off your life when you're dying eggs. Then of course we had to hide them; me for her and then her for me. :)

My mother shared, that even after we all left home, my father still continued to paint hard boiled eggs right up to when he passed away. He loved to paint them.

Deviled eggs are the best and always a favorite side dish with any meal. Nix the beer, Lorraine. There's a certain fermentation that develops with eggs and beer!

A long time ago in a duplex around the corner from where we live now, we (DeeDee & I) were preparing an egg hunt for the boys (Danny & John). We started by hiding the eggs in the backyard. Next we got the boys up and around all ready for a morning of Easter fun. Off into the backyard to start the hunt and what do we all find.....about 6 dead baby rabbits compliments of our dog (Harley). Of all the mornings for the dog to find a nest of rabbits it would have to be Easter Sunday morning. Needless to say I think that those eggs are still in that backyard. Well I hope it was a Happy Easter for all...

Ahhhhhhh, I remember many a holiday standing the watch. I remember when they'd always stick it to a 'single' person without kids, and even after I was married they still would because I didn't have kids. I hated that!
