Hey all,
First of all.. I am going to support all views on here. We live ina Deomocracy. Just keep it clean. Good debate is a good thing as long as those of us who are in the service remember we take orders from our Commander in Chief.
You do have a view during this election year, Post it communicate it, but if you come in here without facts to support your post, I.e Flaming someone, it will be deleted.
Let's communicate..

I feel that the media has too much power in the United States and the media for the most part has taken the "we don't agree with the war side of the fence" which is clearby the way they have cover the events over in Iraq and Afghanistain. Take for example that you always hear about the troops that have lost their life, but how often do you here about a Med. Cap. or a new school that was build with US money and with the help of US forces, or about the Corpsman and Medics over in these combat zones fighting to save the lives of their Brothers in arms and the the lives of the inocent children caught in the middle of the fighting. I'm not saying that the American public don't need to know about the troops lost in combat but they do need to know about the good that the US is doing in these places.
And if John Kerry wants to call me or anyone else in uniform stupid then he needs to try doing my job over in Iraq or Afganistian, because he has no idea what it is like.

Totally agree with you, the press never shows the good that is done, Hell it's the same here in the states though. When do you turn on the TV for the news and hear "GOOD NEWS?"
;-)
Da-Chief.
not more than an hour ago, I walked by the tv and said aloud "why cant you give me good news for once?" and kept on walkin. I agree with both of you gents.
Happy news doesn't make "good news" because it doesn't sell for more than a 30 second spot.
Bad news can be dragged out for weeks at a time, so that's where they put their emphasis.
Sucks, but that's what I think they base their stuff on.
Here's my view:
Fracturing your ankle sucks...
Especially since I can't work now for 6-8 weeks.

i saw a documentury called " Voices of Iraq" For those who never saw or heard about it, the movie/doc. was about how over many hand held camcorders were given to the people of Iraq. It was a chance to hear the opinions of the current situation. For example, there were many former Iraqi prisoners ,from Saddams regime, said that some ofthe Abu grab ( spelling may be wrong) prisoners that were in the photos, are some of the people who tortued the shit out of them. They were pleased with the photos.
Reminds me when i was living at the Haditha Police station for 4 months straight. Every person they brought in were beaten the sheit out of them. The people hated the police force ( because they couldn't be trusted ). Most of the Iraqi men I met were all for the new Iraq and for us but couldn't trust the police or local ING. Shit I couldn't even trust them bastards.. One pointed out that most of the information they recieve is by word of mouth or by acrazy ass Jihad wanna-be ( Zarqawi) . Some can't afford a T.V. and if so, with out cable , Al Jazer ( ?) was their media source. I can imagine all the lies and how twisted some stories got.
Motha-truck the media... But I do love eating chow and watching Robin and Company, in Headline News, in the morning. She's one hot news anchor.

HM3_JD... better than your foot AND your rotator cuff. No PFA for me.
I don't know, I am kinda getting sick of people saying things and then NOT having the backbone to stand behind what they say. If you call members of your Navy, Army, Marines, AirForce and Coast Guard stupid, at least have the courage to stand BEHIND your convictions. Don't cower in shame once you are called on it. I was annoyed to see it, because to be honest, some of the most intelligent people I've met are in the Navy. (Especially in Navy medicine), my old CO ADM Arthur, who is now the Surgeon General of the Navy/ Chief of BUMED... intelligent... as hell. :) Among other junior and senior enlisted and the officer community.
You know they say opinions are like A$$ holes, everyones got one. :)
Ciao
