How ironic it when a corpsman gets hurt. I mean how much do we wanna admit we need a "DOC"... ?? 5 days agoI fell down a ladder well. This I pretty much blame on any and all undesignated Seaman, as they REFUSE to STRIP paint, they just PRIMEAND PAINT PRIME AND PAINT. Anyway... I lost my footing... and 5 days later...decided that I had to go see the doc. annnnnnnnnnywho...sprained my right foot, and tore 2 of the 4 rotator cuff muscles in my right arm OUCH... OUCH OUCH OUCH. I need to feel as good as Da Chief.

Here's the deal and those of you who have served with the Corps will understand.
You hurt but don't admit it. I did this for 22 years and now it is coming and biting me in the ass as I didn't take care of a few injuries like I should have in the past and just "SUCKED IT UP" as I did not want to come off as the MARINES PUT IT "BROKE".
You can have the best most squared away Marine or Doc always UHH-RAH PT'ing like Crazy but We never wanted to be seen as hurt or broke, especially the doc as we are busy enough anyways without having to worry about ourselves..
:-(
Truth be told though, I would not do "1" thing different. I am proud of my soon to be 23 years of service and the way I took care of Marines and Sailors.
Rah..
Da-Chief.
Percocet is my friend right now :)
Indeed, better living through chemistry.
And damn the rookies at the firehouse for polishing the firepole last week.

That aint no joke!!
I had one of our LT's at the School house try to give me "accu-pressure" to my back.. I was a whimpering pile of mush.. She told me to have my wife do it as well.. Let me tell you something, I have never Ever recovered from a back injury this quick. This was by far the worst I have ever had, but I will be up and about back at work tomorrow..
YEAH!
Thanks LT, Karen!
