I am leaving in october for Boot, and believe at my age these old bones are ready for it. The main question Ihave is though, one which my recruiter has not been abelto ascertain yet for me is....the Army has a program for combat medics inwhich the recruit if shownto have experience and licensing in the civilian field will cut several weeks off training or send them to school nearer to then end. Does the Navy have any similar training program or accelerated program. I am licensed in the state of Michigan as a paramedic, also an instructor License, ACLS and BCLS training certificates, along with 15 years experience. If someone could point in the right direction or website or any information would be helpful.

The Reserve Component had the Advanced Paygrade Program (APG) as recently as 2005, but I do not know if it is still being offered. I do not think the Active Component has anything similar. Ask a recruiter about it.
