This form is the prime piece of evidence of military service required for both Govt Veterans benefits, as well as Veterans organizations. Yet with natural disasters, fires, moving, etc. these forms can very easily become lost, damaged or destroyed. Below is the quickest easiest way for both living vets, next of kin, and relatives doing genaeology research to request a copy of their DD-214 for most of the time for free or nominal fee.
