NCS Options for duty locations

Hello,

I'm checking on possible options for duty locations for the NCS program (which my son regrets joining but is willing to make the best of it now). He would like the Japan area, ship or shore with Marines as he requested FMF in his contract also. He says he will willingly go anywhere he is sent, even Iraq...but would prefer Japan. Any hope for that for his 15 month NCS obligation?

If FMF is his destination as an NCS corpsman and he want to go to Japan, he should look for the 3rd Marine Division in Okinawa. I think it's probably as close as he's going to get unless he's real lucky.

They are sending them to 3rd Maine Div.. (NCS)...

At least now they are..
