8404 Thanks for your quick response!
Hopefully Patrick will start A school tomorrow! I thought there was a BIG push for all of them to go to FMBT now. I am guessing 8404 is FMBT
He is searching and asking lots of questions to narrow down what he wants to do for C school. That may be down the road a ways but he is a planner. Like his Mom.:not: He has interest in SAR Corpsman and Surgery Tech. I may have those names off a bit. I am still learning all of this.

Just for clarification purposes, FMTB = Field Medical Training Battalion, there is no FMBT.
Additionally, it is not uncommon for students to go both of those two routes you mentioned. If he is thinking of SAR Corpsman, have Patrick as the Instructors about "Dive Motivator". Patrick will be doing his physical training with them while attending Corpsman school.
Also, tell Patrick to let it be known to the instructors, if he truly wants one of the two avenues you mentioned above. Remember, the instructors cannot read students minds.
You can read about FMTB at the following two links. There are two locations for FMTB training.
1.) Camp Lejeune, North Carolina
2.) Camp Pendleton, San Diego, California.
FMTB East: http://www.lejeune.usmc.mil/fmtb/index.shtml
FMTB West: http://www.cpp.usmc.mil/schools/fmtb/index.asp
You can also download and read the student manual and handbook. Click on the student material link located on the left hand side of the FMTB East website.
We send our best to both you and your son Patrick.
