So I am graduating (if I don't do anything stupid in 2 weeks) w/ Honors and Distinction and am on my way to FMTB @ Camp Pendelton and then on my way to 1st Mar Div DET, 29 Palms. @ FMTB I will be possibly screening for Recon. No billets until the Fiscal Year starts so we will see because I am currently a Dive Motivator here at Corps School and they did all they could for me. If your thinking about trying to attempt Recon and haven't come to Corps School, screen with Dive Motivators and if you keep your grades high and nose clean you'll have a great Chief and HM1 giving you guidance.

Any other students on here besides my class pull same orders?

Also any links to all the Units @ 29 Palms?

Smith21USN:

A hearty congratulations to you on your accomplishments. Here is the link to 29 Palms website. Lot's of information there. My son was there about 7 months ago. Make the best of it. Lot's of opportunities.

Individual unit pages are located under the "Resident Units" link. Which unit are you assigned to?

FMTB East: http://www.lejeune.usmc.mil/fmtb/index.shtml

Pay particular attention on the left side of the page, "Student Material". There is a FMST Student Manual and an FMST Rules and Regulations. You can get a look at what's expected now and be ahead of the game.

Smith21USN,

Congrats! All of those accomplishments are something to be proud of. No one can ever take that from you. If you've been going to the Dive Motivator at NHCS and also training on your own, then you shouldn't have too much trouble with the Recon Indoc. I was doing the Dive Moto thing in boot camp & Corps school, except I was training for BUD/S. They were a great group of guys. My advice is to practice the Indoc before you actually try out for it, so you know what to expect.
And just remember the 7-P's for success: Proper Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance.

Good Luck!

Check your browser, and see if you're blocking 'cookies'!

Can you access the following?

Adamantium;

Where are you attempting to access these websites from, home or on base or at a company?

What browser are you using?

What about your 'firewall'? Are Session Cookies allowed in it?

After that, double check your windows settings.

PS: Some .mil sites are only accessible from on base, or with a CAC reader card.

I accessed http://www.marines.mil/Pages/Default.aspx using Firefox Version 2.0.0.14.

However, it DID take awhile to load. Not sure why. Check to make sure you have (Current Version) Java enabled, in your browser as well.
