I have the student learning guides for
*Surgical Tech (I have a lot of other things from the class included in this CD)
*Phych Tech
*Pharm Tech
If you are going to be attending one of these schools this can give you a big leg up on the classes.
I have these loaded onto CD Rom and ready to mail out. I am also looking for a way to host them online for everyone to download to their own computers.
If you would like a CD please e-mail me. ***I just ask for the cost of the CD and the postage in return.***

Ok, I can send these things over the ineternet if you have high speed access.
The ST School ones are rather large so I am still working with CD ROM's for those.
PM me or E-mail me if you need one.

Hi Hm2young
Im actually trying to decied to go corpsman or not. I went to meps, last week ,went through the physical and all the other madness but when it came down to selecting the job they said i didnt score high enough for the one i originally planed for (CTI) so they suggested corpsman which sounded exciting but I wanted to do a little research on the internet before i signed anything( which brought me here)I saw you post about the phych tech and pharm tech class info and would like to download them if they are still avalible and take alook at some of the stuff involved.
Thanks,

I am curious...how does the job of surgical tech translate over to the real world...ie if I graduate SurgTech in the navy and leave at the end of my contract...can i immediately get a job as a surgtech in the real world?
Its funny that you post this because my best friend and climbing partner is a surgical tech and I LOVE his schedule...he works 3 10 hour days tues, wed, thurs and then leaves thursday night for climbing and climbing until sunday...monday is his day of rest....a DREAM job for climbers
pays well too ;)

The Navy is the only branch of the service that is accredited upon graduation from their Surgical Tech "C" School.
You can take your AST as soon as you finish school. It is not required to get a job, but it help you get more money from your job.
It is a prerequisite for Pharmacy school to go to FMS?

All Males are to attend FMSS out of Corps School. I believe they are writing orders as well for those who are going to attend C-Schools from other commands, don't hold me to it though and our office is in a state of chaos right now as we are getting new furniture so I won't know for sure about other commands until later next week.

I will also be preparing a training guide for Urology, if anyone might be interested in this.
It is all rumor that this school is going away. It will be around until at least 2011.

Pretty good the students are coming back now.. I have duty on the 6th as CDO and that is the drop dead date for all the students to be back. You can imagine what it will be like all day and night. I am just hoping the weather is good everywhere or we will be answering Phone calls all night about missed flights. We still will but weather last year was a bear.
Your working at NMC San Diego correct? Your wife is going to be teaching what?
