So I know you have to report to A School right after boot camp, but how long do you have leave once you're finished with A School? I've heard anywhere from a week to two weeks, but I'm not sure..

Depends.. when will you grad "A" School.

well I ship monday.. so I'll graduate RTC in early August, and A School I guess is 14 weeks after that so maybe around early November?

Here's the deal..

If you grad in November, and you take leave then, You will not be allowed "Holiday" Leave at your next command.

That being said..

There is a chance as well due to the budget.. that you might be on hold after you grad if your orders are not in..Your going to have to play it by ear.

Ususally they authorize 14 days after grad prior to the holiday period. If you were in school (I.e Curriculum around X-mas..) You would be able to take leave for up to 10 days to 2 weeks if you have it on the books, but when you grad you would only be allowed 5 days.. So let me break it down for you.

prior to X-mas.. (Grad November) 14 days allowed. Probably would not be allowed leave for Xmas at your next command.

In school druing Holidays.. Allowed up to 10-14 days leave if you have it on the books, but only alowed 5 days after grad..
