What is your take on this?

I have been in the navy reserve 7 years, but I haven't even been awarded the NRMS (reserve good cookie), I just checked on line and they don't have ANY of my medals on there, is this a failure on my unit or the NOSC?

I have noticed that since being attached to the "green" side, they will give you plenty atta'boys, and pats in the back but are stingy with medals, and evals. I have had shipmates leave the reserves because of lack of recognition, even though they were the hardest working, came in on off time, and have taken on collateral responsiblities. what is up that?

been there done that. basically if u have been there that amount of time you rate it. providing of course u have never been NJP'd etc. I just told my PS or YN that I have been here and rate this award and they entered it in my service record. it has never been presented to me. but yes the online thing doesn't seem to correspond. so technically u rate the ribbon with 1 star or cluster. also the many data bases dont talk to one another, I have noticed that i have no medals or ribbons on BOL or navy awards etc. and i have quite a few in my service record.

I checked NDAWS and after reading a bit of it I noticed that they only post NAMS or better, or if you were put in for a NAM and it was downgraded to a Letter of Appreciation with attached Flag officers letter then you can find it in NDAWS. I ordered my service record CD and after waiting a month for it noticed that certain things were not updated especially my PG 2.

I also noticed that the only times I had 4.0 or better evals were from when I was mobilized or on AT. Otherwise the best I got for a regular report was a 3.86 (or something like that) and I bust my ass off coming in to get my unit ready, for the coming drill on my own time... UGHHHH this burns me...BTW I have no NJP and I have good years.

I know when I get back to the states I will be chewing out somebody's ass in the blue side...
