Just surfed in to the site & joined. I was with the FMF at Camp Lejeune from May 1964 to my discharge as an HM3 in July, 1967. Was in 2nd Bn/2nd Mar. I got out just before they started sending all the Corpsmen to Viet Nam, so I missed that one. I did two tours at Gitmo guarding the fence line, made two Med cruises and one trip to Vieques Island PR for training. I was on the Boxer and Grant County. I also spent about 3 months on the URI ward at the USNH at Lejeune. Today I’m a project manager for a manufacturing company, but not for long. I’m taking early retirement at the end of this month because a couple months ago I realized I could earn just as much retired as working!

Welcome Aboard Jimmy;

Thank you for your service. Consider yourself blessed, in that many companies today do not offer pensions anymore. Some companies even went as far as freezing their employee's pensions.
