The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear (http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5giWx64wRZsFlUBfqfoN4F4aH63YwD91FQVJO0) an antitrust case that claims AT&T (then SBC) engaged in anti-competitive behavior against smaller ISPs by charging too much for wholesale access to its network (frequently more than retail, making it nearly impossible to compete with them). Last year a lawsuit against AT&T by Linkline (http://www.corpsman.com/comments/268) and several other California ISPs was allowed to move forward by an Appeals Court, and now the Supreme Court will have to explore whether AT&T has violated antitrust law.
