Definitely save your money... (for the upcoming Batman)

Here, the special effects were typical of a "superhero" flick...
Also, the story line (without giving it away) was VERY unlikely to believe: superheroes or not, "jungle fever" wasn't cool even a millennium ago. And, the child who sees his "mother" and hero receive numerous gunshots to their thoracic regions, would absolutely NOT act "okay and dandy" just because his father gave him (little son) a good ole "rub" on the head... geez.

Also, the theme? "Love lasts forever" just wasn't clear. You'll see when/if you see the movie.

I give this one a D... "D" for "Dumb".

I've actualy seen it, and thought it wasn't that bad... Typical, but not that bad. But your statement "jungle fever" i dont understand... And I'm a bit offended.

"Jungle fever"... I was unaware that that was an offensive phrase (I have friends from Chicago and DC who use that term around me all the time). I am a half-breed myself, so no offense intended. I will refrain from using that term, from henceforth.

However, if one were to research the history "gods" and "goddesses" and the millenniums that the characters were supposed to have lived, couples of mixed skin color was just unrealistic--unless the male was a polygamist (like in that ancient Middle East, wives of many skin color and nation were taken to be married).

The storyline was convoluted and unrealistic--even for a superhero fiction. It wasn't the best movie in my opinion. Just an opinion.

LMAO..

Ironically, this is the EXACT thing that popped into my head when I read the comment.. haha. Great minds think alike in a color blind community. :-)

You know, and I know this is TOTALLY off topic, but I think that the whole interracial thing is becoming the norm in our society. I am a black man married to a red-headed irish woman. Really cant go more opposing spectrum then that. Yet we have run into ZERO incidents since we got married 8 months ago.

Both of our families love us and we dont get weird looks in public. And that is in the south. I think the only flak we ever get is REALLY from black women wondering how "she stole one of our black men."

But eh, thats just me.

It all depends on where your at Taylor.. it really does..

Up here in IL of all places there are still pockets of out and out Racial intolerance. I see it every day, from folks i could hardly believe would have such feelings.

IL of all places btw.

And don't get me wrong.. your in FL, which does not constitute the "SOUTH" per say. Go to MS, AL, LA, GA, OK etc.. Your relationship would not be viewed as the norm. I wish it were.

Like I told my kids.. Underneath we all bleed red (Unless there is a vulcan around.) My 7 year old has a crush on a Boy at school, who is not Caucasian, even there some parents roll their eyes. I told her she is much to young to get married, but as long as whomever it is she marries takes care of here and does not have a tatoo between his eyes, and he has a good job and loves her, treats her right .. Then so be it.

;-)

When she is 82...

HAH!

I saw Hancock recently and I thought it was okay for most of the movie. If you go in expecting a comic book adventure type of movie then it worked pretty good. There were definitely moments when the audience was LOL.

I will agree that the movie takes a strange twist 3/4's in. I also think all the activities at the hospital detracted from the movie and could have been done much better. I did not like that part of the tale, but it did not kill the movie for me.

So, I finally saw the movie and for the most part I found myself looking for more. As far as comicbook type movies, it wasnt too bad. I seemed to have missed the whole "jungle fever" part that was mentioned before. I saw it more as a Yin and Yang thing.

Just goes to show that marriage, on higher level, will kill you..lol

I would give this movie a C-
