I am an 18 year old male living in Pismo Beach, CA, I recently decided i wanted to go into the Navy Corpsman for my military experience, i want to be a FMS Corpsman, I told the recruiter this and he says I have a 90% chance with my 90 asvab score of getting the position. The question at hand is are the spots open and can i get FMS if so? Also i had a Drunk in Public when i was 16 which didnt come back on my background checks on both county and juvenile court houses if the fbi is to find the file will that screw me out of my position completely even though this next october well.. nother year itll hit the 3 year mark which lets me ignore the charge anyways please respond asap I am very interested in joining but ONLY if i can become a Navy Corpsman.

Dee Dee Thanks
Shipmate, Always be truthful about your past when joining. We live by "Honor, Courage, Committment".Can you serve with the FMF with this? Yup, just means you cannot be deployed your first set of orders to a permanent duty station overseas..
So you would get 1st or 2nd MARDIV etc.. You can deploy with them, just not be have a permanent duty station overseas.
It is fairly easy to get a DIV billet now if that is what you want.

Good Luck
