I've been a member on these forums for a little while, and just now finally making an intro...

I'm Garrett, I plan on enlisting into the United States Army National Guard as either: 56Mike, 68Whiskey, 13Foxtrot in the ARNGs Active First Enlistment Option, and maybe secure an Option 4, or 40 with it as well, (maybe if possible, if not, I'll volunteer while in AIT...)

Reasoning behind the MOSs:

56Mike, I've thought about greatly, due to the fact it will give me the ability to directly, and specifically serve both God, and my country. And help with the spiritual well beings of the soldiers beside me... God has done great things in my life, he's deterred me from my blindness of others, as well as my personal ignorance with situations that have occurred in the past, which I hope will never repeat themselves... If it was not for holding on, and for him looking after me in my worst times, I don't know where I'd be... And being able to help others through their faith, as well as serve alongside others, has made this MOS very appealing... I'd gladly do the job...

68Whiskey, because the job of a 68Whiskey to to save lives... I would be responsible for saving the lives of my comrades, and keeping them alive. as well as protect those injured if the need were to arise...

and 13Foxtrot, because well... It's 13Foxtrot... Call in Field Artillery, Air Support, even Naval Gunfire if needed, and level entire armies coming at you, hell bent on killing you, and your men beside you... 13Foxtrot has a very large ability to save the lives of those around him...

My ultimate goal in whichever MOS, is to become one of the best NCOs in the United States Army, and to someday lead men (or women) throughout my life. and make a difference, if not to some ungreatful American moron, then to some kid in a land of turmoil... If I can have the chance to change the life of atleast one person, even if it takes my entire life to do it... I'll take it... Make a difference for a foreign population, if not the population of my own nation...

I've read multiple U.S. Army FMs (Field Manuals) and ARs...

I've read QUITE A FEW FMs... (understatement)... I've read FMs from Engineer operations, to Cavalry Scout Operations, to Medical Company operations, to Army Operations, to pretty much any/every FM I've possibly been able to get my hands on... I've accumulated a great amount of information over the past few years... Even have had to sit actual vets down to explain to them I'm not in service (yet).. And that's no joke... Textbook wise... I know a great deal about the Army, and almost everyones job in the Army... I've read skill level manuals, for 11B10, 19D10, 21B10, 13F10, 68W10, and many other MOSs... Textbook wise, I know a great deal about what almost every soldier does job wise... NO first hand experience however... Unless you count FMs, and job manuals as being first hand...

I've trained with Army National Guard RSP Platoons, as well as actually have met up with current service soldiers, and check out what they do... I've been to Ft. Lewis, Yakima Training Center, Camp Murry, Everett Armory, Snohomish Armory, Kent Armory, and Bremerton Armory...

I've recieved weapons familiarization with:
M16A4, M4A1/A2, M249 SAW, M240B, M9, M2, and MK-19 throughout all the training sessions I've partaken in...

I've also recieved training in:
MOUT
SUT
LandNAV
Call for Fire
First Aid for Soldiers (Super bastardized course of CLS, and I mean SUPER bastardized...)

for more information on my RSP and MilPrep training, I can explain more in-detail via PM...

My RSP Cadre consisted of 18Bravo, several 11Bravos, several 19Delta's, a 68Whiskey, and a 92Yankee... Outside of RSP I've received minor training bits from personal friends of mine... Just basic things...

However... Recently, I've learned that I've lost my recruiters Contact Card... Like a total idiot... So pretty much I've been trying to locate a recruiter with no joy... I know his office is in Lynnwood WA. However... I've also learned it's easier to hunt down and track someone in the 1/19th, then it is to hunt down a recruiter... (Go figure...) So I'm still trying to find him... If anyone knows any ways I could find him, please PM me details...

I'm still a High School Student (Junior, turning Senior this coming year...)

I frequent the forums on www.armyranger.com, (http://www.armyranger.com,/) www.airborneparatrooper.org, (http://www.airborneparatrooper.org,/) www.professionalsoldiers.com, (http://www.professionalsoldiers.com,/) and www.1800goguard.com... (http://www.1800goguard.com.../)

SN on all sites is Draco771, except for airborneparatrooper.org, which is da_'lil_guy! (joke)

I'm also on www.armybasic.org, same SN

Personal details about me:

Again, as mentioned I'm a High School Student... I go to youthgroup, as well as sunday services when possible in my town... (Got a problem with that? Too bad...)

My father is prior service, WAARNG as a 63Bravo, now he works at a job he's held for quite sometime, with great distinction... I'm very proud of my dad, he's one of the most hardest working guys I've ever met...

I'm a very big history buff, especially regarding military history... I'm very bias towards the Army... LOL... I try and make as many friends as possible, whether military, or civilian, makes no difference to me...

I enjoy listening to any kind of music, I have no preferences... I'll listen to anything from heavy metal, to soft symphonies (no joke), I literally have no music genre where "It HAS to be this kind, or that kind, etc."...

I don't really watch TV, movies yeah, I love music... Depends on who with, I may be very open minded... http://www.armybasic.org/portal/modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Through trial and error on other forums, I've realized to read more, prior to posting an intro... Because unlike a lot of people who I've noticed... Don't follow the basic rule listed in the forum rules regarding making an intro, with your screen name as the title... Especially since it's bolded... Not bashing anything... But just observation...

I'm civilian...

Any information, assistance, or anything would be greatly appreciated, and noted...

Oh, and if you frequent those other forums, feel free to drop me a line sometime... http://www.armybasic.org/portal/modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif I love making friends! =) http://www.armybasic.org/portal/modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.armybasic.org/portal/modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_cool.gif

Also noted, (lack of attention to detail for some reason...) I came to this site to better expand my knowledge of the United States Army, and to meet new people, and learn from other's experiences...
