Eh? Inquiring minds want to know. I have to buy a new machine next year for this beast, I am running on a "FRANKEN"BEAST" now since the crash this year, works ok, but it is gasping for breath now more then ever..

Thinking dual core Intel Chip set with 1 gig /2 gigs of RAM, etc..

Anyone really into modding?

I'm not going to Vista until they work out the bugs. Of course they said this O/S would be different but they have been saying that since Win95 and the computer news show on the local news radio station said they have already discovered some serious flaws in Vista. While XP is far from perfect either, at least I am running pretty stable and don't have to buy a crap load of software updates for a new O/S.

As for a new machine,... tough call... I'd lean towards what I know works and what I know how to use, but I know others like the latest version of the newest flavor. I expect XP to be around for several more years (95 was still there after 98 & 00 right up to XP). I just don't see a compelling reason to go Vista at this point.

(In the 1952 Disney cartoon (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0044558/), Donald Duck runs an apple orchardharassed by Chipmunks (Chip & Dale). The routine went: Apple core? Baltimore? Who's your friend? Then the identified target got an apple core to the face. (http://www.chipndaleonline.com/media/applecore.mp3) I believe the Andy Griffith Show also did the Baltimore version. However, I have also heard people use other versions that include "Who's it for?" or "Nevermore" or "Many more..." ya get the picture... The things people remember, huh? I'm curious where Disney got that game from? http://www.chipndaleonline.com/media/applecore.mp3) But how many readers even knew what the hell you were talking about...?:D
