My hearts and prayers go out to HM2 family and friends. This is getting more real and real as the months go by. HM2 was my Corps school insturctor for Bravo company, and I was supposed to be on the very same deployment as HN Retmier. R.I.P. for all service men and women defending this great nation.

We at corpsman.com offer our collective condolences and prayers in this most difficult time. It's always difficult when we hear the loss of a Corpsman, but what does one say, when we hear of a loss of one who trains those 'we' call Doc?

I want to thank you HM2 (FMF) Anthony Carbullido for your willingness to defend the United States of America and her freedoms and interests. Your untimely death brings much sorrow and sadness to the hearts and lives of yours and our family, friends, military brothers and sisters, and all who truly appreciate their freedom. We are proud of your service and dedication in that which you believed in and fought for. Your mission is complete. Know that you will not be forgotten!

I pray, we all can find solace in knowing that Tony" Carbullido was an instructor at NHCS and his legacy will live on in those students hearts and minds who he trained and shaped as Corpsman.

"For Those Who Man The Battle Field,
The Bugle Whispers Low,
And Freedom Has a Taste and Price,
The Protected Will Never Know..."

HM2 Carbulido (incognito) is a good shipmate and a good friend. I worked with him back in 2006, Camp Pen, MedLog. My heart is saddened when I got the news that my friend is gone. Farewell shipmate, my friend.

My condolence to friends and family of Anthony (Carb). Anthony was a great friend and co-worker at Medlog. He wasn't just a co-worker, but a good friend and scuba diving and fishing buddy. I truely miss the time that we hung out on the boat, chucking out lunch due to sea sickness and I will never forget his green face from sea sickness. I miss the great times and it sickens me that I will never see or hear from him again. I miss you buddy...

:( I just don't even know what to really say about this. HM2 was the greatest person/instructor I have ever known. I was one of many people who's lives he touched. He was so motivating and always looked so sharp. He was the type of person you could definately idolize and no one ever had a bad thing to say about him. I remember he would make us do the craziest things. PT was his favorite, our least favorite..but he was always willing to push all of us to make us better and stronger. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I can't imagine what you all are going through. RIP HM2 I will see you again someday...until then you will be greatly missed.

HM2 Carbullido is a NAVY PRIDE! We went together in predeployment training (JUL07-OCT07) both Ft. Riley, KS and Ft. Sam Houston, Tx.
He gave us hard core PT, weapons training and a good leader.
He was the only one in our class that I can speak Tagalog (FILIPINO).
He is a very cool person and good friend.

In behalf of Class 28, we offer our condolences to his family, friends and loved ones.
High Dosage will keep you in our hearts.

Class 28...we have less than 2 months. Stay safe.
Khuda Hafiz!

I used to work with him in the instructor spaces and talked to him alot. I esp. remember how giddy he always was to run the triage lab. So motivated and motivating.

This death really hit a lot of things home for me.

I was one of HM2's students when he was our instructor in homeroom 121 back when I was in corps school. When I picked orders to Guam, I immediately told him that I was going there, and without any hesitation he told me that I would like it a lot. I asked him if he'd been there before and he said that he was from there.

Now here on Guam serving on the Regional Burial Detail at the hospital, we were told that an HM2 from Guam was killed in Afghanistan, and in the back of my mind I knew it was him.

As I get ready to go on an IA myself in a few months, I won't ever forget what you taught me, HM2.

You will be TRULY missed.. I will make sure that the flag I fold for you when you arrive here on Guam will be what you expect it to be; what you make me strive for today - flawless in every aspect.

I would first like to give my condolences to Anthony's Family and Fiends. Me and Anthony both went to Corps school together back in 2001, we are both from Guam and we were roommates during our first tour at NMCSD-San Diego. We had alot of good and bad times there. Once we went our separate ways, we barely kept in touch and i regret that. We always thought we would run into each other sometime down our careers. We both wanted to do our 20 year run in the Navy. We both loved being corpsman and doing our job out there. RIP HM2 Carbullido...You Will Be Missed and You Will Never Be Forgotten.

I am HN Troy Marcum. I unfortunately never had the satisfaction of meeting/serving with HM2 but a buddy of mine here (he posted under this topic) knew him well. HN Cendana and I were part of the Burial Honor Guard for HM2.

We escorted him off the aircraft, to the hearse, to a designated place where RADM French and other officals presided over a moving memorial. We escorted him back to the Funeral home and the family asked us to stay and take part in the memorial.

There is a lot more to do, and I speak for all of us at USNH Guam where it is a significant honor to be included in this.

I will see if I can post photos when available.

Thank you all.

I remember anthony from FMSS, If it wasnt for him and his wife i wouldnt been able to get the LAX for my flight. After we were dismissed from training he let me stay at his house for a few hours then we drove to San Diego to catch my flight. The last thing i remember was him saying see you around the fleet.

Actually one of the great ones, Carb and I pushed a class together in Corps school just before he deployed. He was one of the most motivated and dedicated Corpsman I have ever met in my 15 years in the Navy. I consider myself fortunate to have known and served with him.

Deployed to Iraq in 2004 with him with medlog and deployed with him to afghanistan...we tried to stick through the deployment together but he was pulled to a different area and him gone still feels like a lie. I never met his family or his new wife but my prayers are with them. I will miss you brother.

Noone understands the heart ache of losing valuable people, except valuable people.

As a Former HM (FMF) I too was trained to protect and defend my patients. I got thrill rides to go out in the heat of a battle, bullets blazing over my head to save a life. It is what we are trained to do, and HM2 (FMF) Carbullido died doing his job and his duty. I am saddened to hear of such a loss, but learning of how he passed makes me proud to stand up to my students and my peers and say "Did that, Been There, Helped to Write the Book". We should all be proud of this Fine Outstanding American who was unselfish by giving his life to save the life of another.

Semper Fi my Brother.....may you R.I.P.
