I'm not sure if anyone has posted this yet but for those studying for advancement I justlogged an account on toHospital Corpsman Study Guide (http://www.corpsmanstudyguide.com)

It has tests on BMR, DT vol 1+2, the Hospital Corpsman books, MRPO 1,2 and 3, the site gauges your strengths and weeknesses. If you score over an 80% on your test, those tests go in your strengths, under 80% weaknesses. I haven't done them all but the test that I have done have been fairly up to date. Wish this was around last cycle.

Remember NAVADMIN 280/06, more than 179 consecutive days of service in-country (OIF, OEF, HOA) since 24 Oct 2001 adds two awards points to your exam score.

Per NAVADMIN 290/06:
() No Advancement Exams will be administered in-country (OIF, OEF, HOA).
() Sailor is authorized to take late exam after returning
() Exam results will be retroactive as if no delay occurred. Sailors who miss two exam cycles will be afforded two make-up exam cycles
() Sailors within 60 days of deployment may request early exam to be taken prior to deployment.

HM-8432 Preventive Medicine Technician
Assists Medical Department Officers in the performance of Preventive Medicine and Occupational Health Programs for Navy and Marine Corps forces ashore and afloat. Performs inspections and surveys of food and food service facilities, berthing spaces, barber and beauty shops, child care facilities, recreational facilities, swimming pools, potable water systems, solid waste and waste water disposal sites and systems, vehicles, and transport containers. Conducts bacteriological analysis of food, water, and ice samples. Conducts epidemiological investigations and reporting (Disease Alert Report), interviews and counsels sexually transmitted disease and other communicable disease patients and contacts, administers mass immunization programs and conducts nosocomial infection control programs. Applies statistical methods to human mortality, morbidity, and demographic studies. Conducts disease vector (insects, rodents, parasites, and other pests) control programs (surveys, identification, and pesticide application and other control measures). Is proficient in all aspects of field sanitation (water and food service sanitation, waste disposal, and vector control). Is proficient in medical and sanitary aspects of CBR defense. Under the supervision of occupational health professionals, assists in ensuring that work place environments are healthful, consistent with existing NAVOSH standards, through surveillance of the work place and medical surveillance of personnel exposed to work place hazards. Instructs medical and nonmedical personnel in preventive medicine, industrial hygiene, environmental health and occupational health matters.

Hey Chief you can delete this post of you want for reason i would underdstaned. But i have the Armys training mannual for the Whiskey trainning. Its in PDF and a very very very good read for anyone in the med field. Its about 800 pages....i also have the 18D training mannual. for anyone who dose not know 18D are Special Forces Medical Sergeants. They are the Army's best trainned Medics. Both are in PDF formats and would be willing to send them to you and you can post them somewhere on the site for people to DL. Its up to you. You are the Chief.

How about this.. A list of the Army MOS's for Medical ? I want to put up the list for Navy NEC's but also ARMY, also would like to figure out what the hell the zoomies call themselves and if they go by MOS or what?

Also if you can give me a breakdown in ARMY how you guys make rank, I can put that up on the main page as well..

I do believe some of those are for Officers only. I have never gone through them all. I just copies the ones I didn’t know off hand for the Army med site.
Most popular out of all of them is the M6 Option witch can be put on you enlisted contract and you can train during AIT to obtain you LPN.

All 68W have to take and pass the NREMT-B test before they can graduate.
There is another Medical MOS in the Army for enlisted. All though this one is to be considered a little harder to get to.

18D Special Operations Medical Sergeant

The special operations medical sergeant employs conventional and unconventional warfare tactics and techniques in providing medical care and treatment.
They are considered to be some of the military’s top Docs. there training alone to become an 18D is at least 2 years. Its the longest MOS training in the military today.
It breaks down like this
If you enlist as a 18X with the intentions of trying to become 18D here is how it would go.

*9 Weeks BCT (Fort Banning, GA)
*8 Weeks AIT (Fort Banning, GA)
*BCT and AIT are One station unit training witch means you do BCT and AIT with the same company and DS's
*3 Weeks Army Airborne School
*4 Weeks Special Operations Preparation Course
*3 Weeks Special Forces Assessment and Selection (87% wash out rate)
if you pass through SFAS then you move on to SF training
*Special Forces Qualification Course
This is broken down into 4 phase's
*Phase 1 (Individual Skills Phase) 40 Days
*Phase 2 (MOS Qualification Phase) this is where you would learn to be a 18D
57 Weeks long....yea over a year worth of training right there
*Phase 3 (Collective Training Phase) 48 days long
*Phase 4 (Language Training) this depends on how much you know of the language you are trying to learn. It could take anywhere from 3 weeks to 41 weeks.

Ok so I'm sure there are more to it then what I wrote but I thought that this would be a good start...To give you an idea of how good the 18D medic program is. Army Rangers Medics, Navy SOF medics, Air Force PJ, all attend the Army’s Special Operations Medical course witch it only the first half of the SF medic program....Most 18D only have to take a couple extra college class to obtain there PA degree.

I'm prior service Army MOS 91Bravo, I have done the 18Delta corespondence course a long time ago (ummmm more than 10 years).. I think anyone worth their salt should look into this....
